FReepers, since apologizing seems to be the order of the day, let's show 'em how we "apologize!" Let me begin with my own profuse apologies to the entire nation:

You're looking at this thing on the surface level. Beyond the actual incidents at the Iraqi prison, the media is executing a coordinated attack on the Bush Admin., by attacking the morality of the troops. This undermines the entire moral foundation of our presence in Iraq, thereby casting doubt on Bush's leadership.

This is not about the Iraqi prison. This is about the election, and it's at the expense of the individuals who are risking their life to liberate Iraq. And the 'I'm sorry' crap that they are trying to force Bush into (which he gave into, regrettably) is a trap. They will use it as an admission of his consent to the mistreatment of prisoners.

I'm heartily sorry that perhaps this is Clinton's military after all. Did he not give these young men and women an incredible and lasting lesson in humiliation? Don't ask Don't Tell and GI Jane?

I'm awfully sorry that the Republican President Bush is making great strides in combatting the "evil doing scum sucking murdering bastard terrorists" and taking the war on terrorism to them rather to us here in America as the democrat leadership has decided is really stupid and would rather see it here in our own hometowns and neighborhoods.

I'm frankly sorry that not one Islamist leader ever apologized for the mutilation and in cold blood murder of over 3,000 of our citizens on September 11, 2001.
