If Congress would read 10% of the documentation, reports, investigations, etc., they get, they wouldn't be surprised by events.
Congress get information, but it is up to the Congresspersons to read it. Most of them don't even bother.

For anyone interested in polling data, I just heard one on ABC radio news. The ABC/Compost poll stated that 69% of the public does NOT think Rumsfeld should be canned.
