I think that they (CBS) should have gone along with the request of the JCS. Stuff like that WILL cause our soldiers over in Iraq to be put in a more dangerous situation than they already are.

I resent that one Congress Crtitter inferring that Gen. Myers was trying to do something underhanded in going to Rather and asking to hold off broadcasting the pictures. That was dispicable. But as always Dan Rather was more interested in ratings than the security of our soldiers.

Rather is a POS for more than just this but this little incident just makes him a BIGGER POS.

I wanna know when CNN is gonna be hauled before the same kind of Congressional grilling for covering up atrocities in Iraq for 12 years just to maintain their "news" bureau. To me that is far more heinous than what's happened at Abu Ghraib.

Just getting back to this thread, if your question is what I think, it was the big classified DOD report on the prison abuse that was leaked to CBS. Hitlery called it "well known"(or something like that), when it had not even gotten to Rummy at that point. Sounds like she was in on(or at least informed of) the illegal leak.

Bingo. This is treasonous. Rather has caused a lot of national pain. This is truly enraging. This is a feminized country-- In another time Dan Rather would have been very reluctant to pull this during wartime. This is truly staggering. This country is amazing. That Dan Rather continues to be on the air--that there hasn't been a mass movement to divest from Viacom is baffling. Dan rather's apparent untouchableness is baffling. The fact that he hasn't been shunned and disempowered from continuing his treason is shocking!!!
