Hillary still in the mix

The meltdown of John Kerry has begun. The Clinton wing of the party, realizing Kerry is on the ropes, is starting to make its move. The purpose? Hillary in 2004.

I mentioned this possibility four months ago, and the inability of John Kerry to grab onto the Democrat base means curtains for him.

The "party of hate" will do anything to defeat the man they hate with a passion - George Bush.

Small events will now snowball at the Democratic National Convention in the great money pit of Boston, Mass. These events that are embarrassing to Kerry have not come from the Republican National Committee but from, believe it or not, ABC television archives.

Kerry's perks are constantly being revealed, including his $7,000 trail bike and then his silly statement that the SUVs in his garage were not his but belonged to his family. This contradicted his statement, made in auto country, that we should cut back on imported automobiles.

Then we had Donna Brazille, a major player in the Clinton administration, complaining that blacks, Hispanics and other minorities are not being placed in key positions in the Kerry team.

Next, Kerry received criticism for not understanding the need to organize political organizations in key states like Ohio.

Now, along comes Bill Clinton hogging the headlines announcing that his memoirs will be released in June.

The $10 million dollar man will hit all the talk shows, pushing the Kerry campaign into the background.

I believe this to be a calculated move by the Clintons to destroy either Kerry entering the nomination process or to doom his candidacy in the general election.

Realizing the ruthlessness of the Clintons, I see these acts as a way to have the candidacy of Hillary Clinton packaged and to have her arrive to save the Democratic Party from virtual extinction.

If this happens, George W. Bush will be in deep trouble in his re-election bid. And with his defeat the Democrats will regain control of the Senate.

If Kerry survives the convention and is confirmed, the Democrats will suffer a worse defeat than the candidacy of George McGovern.

The die has been cast. Kerry will limp into the convention in early August a wounded animal, knowing that he has been sandbagged by the Clintons and their operatives.

With Rudy Giuliani ready to end Hillary's short-lived New York Senate presence, the Clintons must act now. The theme will be Kerry cannot win so the plea will be for Hillary to run.

She will say no, but she will run. Bill Clinton will let it be known that after hours of deliberation and prayer they would accept the Democratic nomination for Hillary, with the understanding that Bill would become secretary of State working with Kofi Annan, dividing the spoils of the United Nations.

This would cause a raucous Democratic Convention. The world would tune in to see the Clinton dynasty take over the party. Delegates would have a choice. Lose big-time with Kerry or stab him in the back and elect the eclectic couple.

Sound crazy? Not really. The Democrats are that desperate.

Tom Lifson yesterday on Lucianne's show said he thinks the Hillary Coup could happen in a slightly different way but with the same result: Kerry picks Hillary as his vp. Late in the game--very late--like 3 weeks before the election, Kerry's health becomes a serious problem. Remember, he's a cancer survivor and no one has seen his medical records. So Kerry makes a tearful and sympathetic departure. The surprise factor generates tons of excitement and drama, and potentially propels Hillary back to the White House. Let's hope Tom is wrong.

Hillary on the ballot should bring out a large voter turn out. Even the dead and incarcerated will get to vote.

With the current jobs report she may decide that Bush is tougher to beat than previously thoutht. She only gets one chance and as jobs are created she may be smart to wait 4 more years.

{YAWN}...

04/19/04 - The Federal Election Commission has opened a formal probe into a star-studded Aug. 12, 2000 Hollywood fundraiser for then-first lady Hillary Clinton's Senate campaign, Fox News Channel reported on Sunday. And some say the development is at least partly responsible for Sen. Clinton's claim that she's not interested in joining John Kerry's presidential ticket.

The allegations themselves are not new: Two of the event's organizers, Hollywood producer Peter Paul and charity fundraiser Aaron Tonken, have detailed a series of transactions undertaken in conjunction with Hillary's campaign that could violate FEC regulations, with Paul charging that the campaign failed to report nearly $2 million he spent producing the event.

But months before Paul was returned to the U.S. to stand trial in the stock case, Hollywood fundraiser Aaron Tonken began cooperating with federal probers. Tonken has said that he's a star witness against the Clintons in a federal grand jury probe in New York into Mr. Clinton's Marc Rich pardon - and has been cooperating with the U.S. attorney in Los Angeles who's probing his fundraising activities.

FEC Heat Hurts Hillary's VP Chances

Background:

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton surely hopes that history isn't repeating itself with the raid conducted by the FBI last month on another warehouse; this one chock full of documents from her 2000 Senatorial campaign.

"The documents were seized in a May 30 raid of a California storage facility containing documents of Peter Paul, the entrepreneur who funded Hillary Clinton's Senate campaign with over $2 million dollars in direct, in-kind contributions which were never reported by Hillary Clinton or her Senate campaign, as required by law," revealed the public interest law firm Judicial Watch in a press release late last week.

FBI Raids Hillary's Warehouse in Whitewater Deja Vu

The Bush administration has quietly done an about-face on allegations that New York Sen. Hillary Clinton broke campaign finance laws in 2000 - with the Justice Department preparing to extradite one-time Clinton fund-raiser Peter Paul to the U.S. as part of a plea deal for his testimony. The sudden action on Paul's case comes just weeks after reports surfaced that former Hollywood fund-raiser Aaron Tonken has supplied damaging testimony about Hillary Clinton's fund-raising practices.

"I'm a star witness against President and Mrs. Clinton," Tonken claimed in a recent report on his case in Vanity Fair magazine, explaining that prosecutors wanted his testimony about" "fundraising activities that I've done on behalf of the Clintons." The exact nature of Tonken's allegations against Sen. Clinton remains secret, the magazine said. But the celebrity moneyman is known to have been involved in the August 2000 fund raiser that is at the heart of Peter Paul's allegations.

The End of Hillary Clinton

Peter F. Paul, the flamboyant Hollywood entrepreneur who says Hillary Rodham Clinton has hidden almost $2 million of in-kind contributions he made to her campaign in 2000, is back from Brazil and promising to raise a ruckus about the New York senator as he fights bizarre securities and bank-fraud charges on which he's been indicted. Aaron Tonken, a political operative in Hollywood and a former protégé of Paul under indictment for a variety of alleged sharp deals with the rich and famous, also is promising to tell everything he knows about behind-the-scenes shenanigans of Clinton and many others.

Clintons' Fall Guy May Turn the Tables (Peter Paul)

Mr. Paul has substantial, documentary evidence detailing his close relationship with the Clintons and his funding of the Hollywood tribute, including cancelled checks, hand-written thank you notes from the Clintons, and photographs. Also named in the complaint is Clinton fundraiser David Rosen, Clinton friend James Levin, and Hollywood celebrity fundraiser Aaron Tonken, who currently is under criminal investigation for his role in other Hollywood fundraisers. As a result of Mr. Paul’s disclosures, federal authorities have launched an investigation into the Clintons and other matters. Mr. Paul, who is facing alleged (and related) stock and bank fraud charges, remains eager to cooperate with federal authorities.

And those of us overseas will be disenfranchised.

I just don't see things going this way. Look, Hillary is a polarizing figure. Whereas John Kerry would lull the Repub. base to sleep, i.e. why vote, this guy is going down, Hillary would send even the most nonchalant of right leaning citizens to the polls to vote against her.

There is a notion that the Clinton's are not beatable. I think that goes too far. Bill may have been unbeatable, but not Hillary. At the end of the day, she has to stand on her own. Here is the bith of it for her, even standing on her own, she carries Bill's baggage.

Finally, I don't think the Democrats could get away with the Torrecilli option in a national election. It preserved the New Jersey Senate seat for them in 2002, but it cost them in other states. I also don't see John Kerry sitting still for this, certainly not his supporters.

I think that is a preposterous notion!

It will have legs at the right time. I may have finally figured out what Hillary is planning. She will take the VP slot. Within 60 days of the election, she will force him out through blackmail. He will claim that his cancer has reappeared and the doctor has ordered him to leave the campaign. She will name Wesley Clark, John Edwards, or Harold Ford as VP. It is a brilliant strategy.

"Bill may have been unbeatable, but not Hillary."
Bill is far from unbeatable, he only won in 92 because of the little rich guy with the big ears and the fact that the incumbent seemed to be going through the motions without any real desire to be reelected. Bill still received a minority of the popular vote and in fact, if I remember correctly Gore got more of the popular vote in losing than Clinton did in either of his victories. Without the support of our leftist media Clinton would be selling used cars in Arkansas by now.

Don't believe the nonsense about the Hildabeast being an unbeatable candidate. That harridan is only "rock star" popular with the demented 35% core of the Democrat party. Everybody else considers her candidacy a fate worse than death. She would energize the opposition, including many confused independents, to a degree not seen in our lifetimes.

With all of the postings here on FR that continue to advance this idea, maybe it would be a good thing for her to run, so that she can be soundly defeated and put this nonsense to rest once and for all.
