Is this the thread ?? Here's my post from the other thread
One thing is obvious from the outrageous comments and total BS lies the Dem on the Hill have been saying the last few days
They are worried about something ... might also be why those pictures just happened to appear when that report really came out in January
Someone slipped those photo's to CBS and the WP for a reason imo

There is a display at the AF Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB that comes from the POW's from the Vietnam War and details how they were treated. This incident in Iraq is nothing compared to the horrible treatment our Vietnam POW's, except for one or two, received while being held prisoner by the N. Vietnamese. Now I see that Kerry and his VVAW group contributed to their mistreatment, I get mad all over again. Where was the outrage about our POW's being mistreated then? Or the outrage when Americans are hung or drug through the streets by the lowlifes?
These prisoners are terrorists not POW's as well! This is war and war is not nice!

The image these "shocking photos" present is one of Iraqi men completely subordinate not only to American soldiers, but to American
women. This is not accidental.
Unless I've missed something, so far I have seen no photos of beatings or physical injury, just humiliation based on nudity and sexual innuendo. That strikes at the heart and soul of Arab pride.
If we're beating Arabs, that's okay. It's macho to take a beating. They expect that, they can handle that. It's noble and glorious to suffer for Allah.
But for an Arab man to be photographed lying maked on the floor with a leash held by a small American woman who does not seem to fear him in the least?
Oh the humanity!

It's quite possible that the 'private contractors' who died in that incident were very much involved in the abuse of prisoners. No it's not. Why would you say that?
Regardless of what happened or why, our hopes of building an Iraqi democracy are now dead.
No again.

I really think you are on to something with your link. Makes perfect sense. The Middle Eastern men are macho -- that would explain why some of the photo's looked staged -- they were!

Let's run through this for the late arrivals:
You said to me:

Now what were you saying to me yesterday in capital letters?
And then I said to you:
To: Joe Hadenuf
The only thing I said about you yesterday is that you don't like anybody except white people.
What are YOU talking about?

Which, of course, is MY opinion stated to another poster, DaughterOfAnIwoJimaVet. I'm entitled to think and say that based on the posts I see you make on practically every single thread on this forum, regardless of content, I believe you don't like anybody except whites.
And then you said:
To: Howlin
Now what were you saying to me yesterday in capital letters?
The only thing I said about you yesterday is that you don't like anybody except white people.
LOL!
It's amazing how a certain few people on the Free Republic can slander and libel people with nothing, no quotes, nothing to back up these hysterical accusations. You are a very protected person here Howlin. I don't know how you get away with this.
What are YOU talking about?
Playing ignorant now?
You know exactly what I'm taking about. LOL!
When I explained to you the President had already apologized through his *top* advisors and others in his administration. And you piped up with, "HE DID NOT APOLOGIZE!!"
I understand your upset honey. But please stop with the unprovoked personal attacks. It gets tiresome and makes you look foolish.
That's a false accusation, Joe, any way you dress it up.
I really like this part:

First of all, it's not a hysterical accusation; it what I think, whether you agree with it or not.
If you need to convince yourself that I'm protected because YOU can't produce anything to back up a false accusation and don't know how else to get out of it, go right ahead; your M.O. is well known here. It's called diversion.
And speaking of PERSONAL ATTACKS, which you have been whining about all day, are these or are these not your very own words?
Playing ignorant now? You know exactly what I'm taking about. LOL!
Of course, I had no way of knowing that you had mistaken me for somebody else, because you never bothered to tell me until post 890 something.....

The more I have thought about this and read the link to Imal's thread, the more I am beginning to wonder about all of this. What if it was an Intelligence operation? These people are terrorist and may know something that we need. If they are humilitated into submission, they might just say something we need to save all of us.
It would be more clear cut to me if they had beat the prisoners to a pulp -- something about this just doesn't fit. That is why I said I will reserve judgement until the investigation is complete and General Myers releases the report himself. Obviously from this report, he does not have the final report. Yet here we are speculating based on articles by the leftist media that has a lot of leaks.
BTW, I am not saying I don't believe this happened because it obviously did but there is just more to the story IMHO!

I like your theory on first reading, and hope you are right. It has been suggested earlier on this thread that the Left may be responsible for the leaks and timing of the brouhaha in the press. That is plausible as well, and would make it really funny if our "dumb", "stupid", president once again turned the tables on their best efforts at "gotcha".

I might as well plug in my un-PC opinion:
What in the heck are we doing with all these prisoners in the first place?
If they fire on us with anything bigger than a BB gun, blow 'em away!
End of prisoner problem.

Because it has something to do with the deaths of those 4 contractors. The Iraqis may have gotten the Blackwater contractors mixed up with the CACI contractors (the CACI contractors are the ones at the Abu Ghraib prison). All the Iraqis know is that they were being abused by contractors or contractors were responsible for their abuse.
There is a copy of a letter from an American that is in Iraq on a forum that I read a few days after the Blackwater contractors were killed and prior to the photos coming out about the abuse of the Iraqi detainees, that letter expressed the abuse of some Iraqi people by some contractors. I will see if I can find it again.
