this is going to do nothing to stop the attack of the media and the Dems, and I think that is Rush's main point, and he is correct on that.

I agree ... they will just find something else

They have been attacking the President and his cabinet since they took office

CALLER: It was like a college fraternity prank

LIMBAUGH: Exactly. Exactly my point! This is no different than what happens at the Skull and Bones initiation and we're going to ruin people's lives over it and we're going to hamper our military effort, and then we are going to really hammer them because they had a good time. You know, these people are being fired at every day. I'm talking about people having a good time, these people, you ever heard of emotional release? You of heard of need to blow some steam off?

W was just apologizing for the abuse of prisoners...
He didn't apologize for the thousands of dead S.O.B. terrorists...
now if we kill them there won't be any problem...

Of course, please let me know when the Iraqis/terrorists will be apologizing for dragging the dead bodies of Americans through the streets and abusing their remains.

Semper Fi,
Kelly

PS Now all I want to know is how many troops Jordan is going to send to Iraq to join the coalition in securing the peace?

Now they will see us as weak again.

Let's agree that NOTHING we could ever say will not make up for what was done, and let's agree that no matter what we do, they will NEVER think of us as strong.

Now I am talking about the terrrorists.

I believe the regular Iraqi people will get it sooner or later.

Now they KNOW they have him jumping to their tune.

Just because he did the right thing doesn't mean he is jumping to their tune; unless you're buying what they're selling.

Howlin doesn't like to hear anything but "Bush is doing
everything right." If you question the wisdom of this or
that-- you're automatically a troll and an America hater.
Beware!

Well, even Kerry sounds more steadfast than some people here.

What does that tell you?

Even though Rove is a master politician and guides Bush well through political minefields, that's not Bush's main strength.

America loves Bush because he tries to do the RIGHT thing, and in this case, personal expression of sorrow and empathy is the right thing to do. Not only will it gain him votes (and that's not the reason he's doing it) but it will also resonate well with Arabs.

Anyone who thinks Bush should not have expressed this sentiment is overthinking the situation and playing politics. With Bush, heart trumps politics, America KNOWS that, and that's why the guy has 55% of the nation's support.

its taken out of context, all he was saying that the term "torture" is being overused to describe some of these photos.

I'm getting pretty sick of the petty attacks of the President from BOTH sides here.

Any decent human being is sorry for what happened, and it's no sign of weakness to say so. It's also NOT a mea culpa, nor are the President's actual words an 'it's my fault, forgive me' statement.

The left will never be satisfied with anything the President says, and neither will the wing nut bashers on FR.

This subject is OVER with, as far as I'm concerned.

And, yes.........Rush was obsessed and emotionally deranged at points today. I usually like the guy, but he's lost it on this one.

He'll calm down and come to his senses about this

Or maybe (placing my monthly donor tinfoil hat securely down over my ponytail)... he's playing with us like the time he endorsed Bill Clinton? Being sarcastic?

Sorry, I can't wade through 100 posts of rantin' and ravin'.

Of course the President apologized. It was the right thing to do. This President often does the right thing.

Our military should not have done those vile things. We did, and that's to bad. Now the President has to apologize.

I don't like it, but I like it even less that certain members of our military have behaved like a bunch of juvinile morons, and then took pictures of their exploits. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

I don't care why they did it. I don't care what they hoped to accomplish. It was stupid, and they should not have done it.

President Bush apologizes to Iraqi prisoners and enemy combatants for humiliating them (no longer abusing them) but he won't apologize to Americans and 9/11 families.

Good prediction. Let's see if you're right.

Do you not realize that Bush speaks for this ENTIRE country, even the dolts that did this in Iraq?

It's his JOB to take responsibility for ALL our citizens, whether YOU like it or not.

He would be far better served by saying that he's ashamed and appalled and that those responsible will pay.

You didn't hear the press conference, did you?

"How many hours before a Kerry TV ad flashes the President's "I'm sorry" in living rooms here and around the globe?"

I hope he does...over here, that will be considered a positive by "swing" voters....

Whoa...have I inadvertently dropped into a parallel universe again? Dang it, I hate it when that happens...

Bush apologized. Good for him. I'm sorry it happened too. Hope that doesn't get me fired.

Haven't seen this much hyperventilating outside of a LaMaze clinic...
