Good grief, every inch of the ME is sacred and every day is a holy day and every member of Hamas/AQ/whatever is a high ranking or senior official.

Right you are. Suppose every time a terrorist is caught, Hamas kidnaps 5 Israeli civilians, so that the prisoner can be exchanged. Should that tactic have an effect on whether killing a prisoner is a war crime? Or have the terrorists caused the circumstances that prevent them from being taken prisoner?

In 1-2 years, he will be released. It is the never ending story of terrorists caught, terrorists put in jail, terrorists released from jail.

I have to admit, I really thought Bargoutti would be out by now. We`ll have to see how long he stays incarcerated.

Why waist tax payers money incarcerating people like these!
