HOUSTON (AP) -- Roger Clemens moved into second place on the career strikeouts list behind fellow Houston-area native Nolan Ryan, and became first six-game winner in the majors to lead the Astros over Pittsburgh 6-2 Wednesday night.
Clemens struck out Raul Mondesi swinging in the fifth inning to pass Hall of Fame left-hander Steve Carlton with No. 4,137.

There must be something to that super-humid air in the Houston area.
If you want to raise a pitcher, you gotta move your kid to Southeast Texas.

As any Yankees, Red Sox or Blue Jays fan can tell you, don't get too attached to this guy, and don't believe him when he says there is no place else he would rather play. And when he says he is retiring, don't throw him a party --he'll keep the gifts and pop up next year in St. Louis or Chicago.

As a Yankee fan, I can truly say I am nothing but happy for him.
He got pushed out of Boston; Toronto knew he was just visiting; and we Yankees fans understood his reasons for leaving New York. Now, he's back home, pitching "like his hair is on fire." Good for him. I hope he pitches well against New York this October; with his 41-year old arm, we can wait for the Houston relief squad to blow the save :^).
From your bitterness, I am going to guess you're a Red Sox fan?

That juicing psychopath should have been retired early, through being convicted for first degree assault or attempted murder, and attempted assault.

He should retire more often.

With the way the Rangers and the 'Stros are going, we just might have an All-Texas World Series on our hands.

The fat fraud strikes again.
The Rocket may end up being the best player with the fewest fans in the history of baseball.

Nah. That goes to Barry Bonds. Though I don't like Clemens either.
