Someone should call on Kerry to, for once in his life, either begin acting like an American or renounce his US citizenship and declare himself one of those *non traditional patriots*. (aka an UN or Frenchman)

Rummy out to thank Kerry for his suggestion, and then release all of Kerry's military and medical records to the Internet, and then initiate a full investigation into the circumstances behind his three PH's.

Wow, I'd sure love to hear the verbal duel if Rummy takes on JF'n.

Rummy, the Master of Slice 'n' Dice, will win hands down.

No contest.

Is it my imagination, or does that look like Kerry would look in about 20 years?

I guess O'Reilly has a new best freind. Also have we hit everyone of the Bush appointments. I guess the only on left that has not been asked to resign is the one I think should. Norm Mineta.

Kerry is like this parabolic reciever that tunes into the political wind and exploits it.

Funny thing is, many people, in turn think he is expressing their sentiments.

I do so wish there was some canidate that would just rise up and speak the truth.

I am a Republican, but am weary of making excuses.

What if there was a candidate that:
A: Wasn't from old money
B: Didn't graduate from a prestigious university
C: Didn't have ambition I.E. the everyman.

Hell, we play the lottery, would randomly selected individual be so bad?!

Gee, that is about the best way I can imagine to pick the leader of the strongest nation on earth!! That way we get someone with low education, no experience running a state or large corporation, and with no qualified acquaintances to fill cabinet positions.

Yes, having Homer Simpson as the President would be quite refreshing. Now step back from the crack pipe and sober up for a while.

Kerry is not worthy of cleaning Rumsfeld's toilet.

That's why we have a congress and a senate.

Homer Simpson? A refreshing change from Billyboy and his Dem cronies.

"Acquaintences to fill cabinet positions."

Okay, whatever...

I never really 'got' the whole Rear Admiral (lower half) thing. Awkward & confusing

My understanding is that the Commodores weren't happy with that rank, and wanted to be called Rear Admiral. That way they could be just like them other Admirals, but never thought that they'd be considered as those LTjg types that go around calling themselves Lieutenant, or the Lieutenant Commanders who go around calling themselves Commanders..

So somebody at bupers decided to give them what they wanted, but threw in the Lower Half to keep them humble. Not exactly the end result they desired.. Way to close to Aesop's fable 'bout the frogs and them wanting a "king"...

No, but are you so stupid as to think chivarly still rules?

This isn't chivalry. This is a basic question of right and wrong. If you lack the testicular fortitude to do the right thing, that is your problem, not mine; I suggest curing yourself of it by giving yourself a broomstick suppository.

Thanks for this:

Rumsfeld served in the U.S. Navy (1954-57) as an aviator and flight instructor. In 1957, he transferred to the Ready Reserve and continued his Naval service in flying and administrative assignments as a drilling reservist until 1975. He transferred to the Standby Reserve when he became Secretary of Defense in 1975 and to the Retired Reserve with the rank of Captain in 1989.

Compare that to al Querry's miserable military record:
