What do you think the female officers thought about the way Jesse Lynch was treated? I'm opposed to women in combat period, but this seems like small potatoes compared to what Pvt. Lynch went through.
OK, you don't have an answer to the question I asked.

Do we always have to use the DU tag every time somebody disagrees?Nope. But the level of knee-jerk hysteria and emotion over thought (in other words, liberal thought patterns) on this thread are DU-worthy.

You're female?
As total aside, it is weird how you get some sort of mental image (or at least I do) of the people posting, even though you really have no clue.
I pictured you as a middle aged balding man :-)
Think I need a cup of coffee. hehe

If there continues to be disrutpions as a result of this by Sadr Milita, I have no problem with more dead Islamokazi fanatics.

Whew, the media is flailing now. The top of the hour(1:00 PM EDT) ABC newscast is now pronouncing that SCOTUS Judtices are going to be influenced by this "scandal".
Duh, did, Justices Breyer, Stevens, Ginsberg, and Souter, have one of their interns call ABC, to give them this information.
The question is how Reagan appointee, O'Connor, takes which side. She is the mushy middle one. Along with another Reagan appointee, Kennedy.

HE DID NOT APOLOGIZE. BS he didn't. The people below are paid to speak for this administration!
That said, I find the President apologizing on world wide television to be extremely offensive. A simple statement of regret by someone down the military food chain over there would have been fine.
Then I am told President Bush didn't actually say the word "apology"!!!! BS!
This sounds like something Clinton would claim.
When in reality he did say I/we apologize through his *top* advisors and spokes people in *his* administration. This is *clear*.
"I would like to apologise for our nation and for our military for the small number of soldiers who committed illegal or unauthorised acts here at Abu Ghraib," Mr Miller told a group of Arab and Western reporters taken by the military on a tour of the prison.
Condoleezza Rice, Bush's national security adviser, apologized for the abuse in interviews yesterday with three Arabic television networks.
"We are deeply sorry for what has happened to these people and what the families must be feeling. It's just not right. And we will get to the bottom of what happened," Condoleezza Rice, the president's national security adviser, told the Dubai-based Arab channel Al-Arabiya.
"I couldn't be angrier," Deputy Secretary of State Richard L. Armitage said of the abuses. "I couldn't be sadder about them. And, frankly, I couldn't be sorrier that some Iraqi prisoners had to suffer from this humiliation.

I don't know what you're talking about with liberalism on here.
People who are for not apologizing publically are liberal?
In fact, liberals would want Bush to stand trial for this I'm sure at the world court.
Calling everyone you don't agree with a 'Du'er' is extremely poor taste.

Well, if the Persident feels so strongly that he must appeal to Islam to not blame America for the misdeeds of a few, then he as CIC should present himself to an Islamic court and stand trial for all of the war crimes that American troops have commited. Is that the next move, in the battle forthe hearts and minds? How long now that bush has admitted the crime until the world calls for a trial? Slipery slope.
Euro, you're a gal?

People who are for not apologizing publically are liberal?People who think that Bush apologized are thinking as liberals do--in other words, they aren't thinking at all.

Even having to explain it is bad enough.
Just give them a demotion and slap on the wrist and let it go. This excessive begging, and that's what it is, for them to forgive us is not going to work.

Joe why do you still post.
You have been stated to many times about the economics about gas prices.
I.E. that regualtions stating that different gas blends mandated to different parts of the country, jacks up the price of gas, across the country.
But still you post.
JMO, you must have a Katie Couric syndrome, where you think what you post on FR, is not questioned.
That's your right as an American to follow Katie, but don't get mad when someone calls you on following her.

Even having to explain it is bad enough. It's remarks like yours that make me wish stupidity were physically painful. If it were, people might grow out of it.
Just give them a demotion and slap on the wrist and let it go.
Yep. Let's let off forcible sodomy with a demotion and a slap on the wrist.
You are one sick individual.
