WOW! These guys are great. One of them lives in my town so I will send him a thank-you note and a fruit basket or something.
It is sad watching them, knowing the pain Kerry has put them through.

Yeah, Fox was quick getting those old clips of a couple of these vets saying positive things about Kerry a long time ago. Funny how the media can get stuff quickly if/when it wants too... LOL! Yeah, it's even easier when it's supplied to you. Kinda like those positive assessments of Kerry by one of the commanders who signed the letter. There were 3 categories that Kerry scored high marks in but for some reason he won't release his entire military record.
To: MEG33
I wish they had waited to do this. But then again would the MEDIA every have covered it?

But .. that charge is easily disproved. All of them are fully functioning in a normal life with wives, children, grandchildren.
And .. one of the men made a passionate rebuke of the Kerry campaign's claim that the men were just part of the Bush attack machine. In fact, the guy said, "if that's what they're claiming, they are making it up". He sure did shut up the female who was trying to make the conference a "Bush" issue.

Also why would Carl Cameron try to discredit these fine American's on Bruts show. OH wait he was the one that broke the DWI charge on Bush.
To: Brimack34
AP spiked the story. They are portraying it as a Bush campaign ploy. The Kerry campaign is giving out talking points...This is too powerful for the vultures of the jaded press to accept ,even those who are not Kerry shills.
It breaks my heart..but I should not be surprised.

I agree, and this may explain why Kerry did not release all of his medical records.

Kerry called Admiral Hoffman for 45+ minutes in an attempt to persuade him from canceling this And "he doesn't have the time" to sign the papers to release all of his military service and medical records ... which would take about five minutes.

Is it just me, or does LTG Claudia Kennedy bear a striking resemblence to Eleanor Clift?

That's what I thought when I first saw her. "Hannity and Colmes" will repeat in about 3 minutes ( on the East Coast )and Kennedy is on in the second segment supporting Kerry ( duh ).

Oh, look at this:
Kerry aides immediately dismissed the new group as a tool of President Bush's re-election campaign and accused it of engaging in "Nixonian dirty tricks."
Regarding Dr. Letson's recollection of Mr. Kerry's wound, Michael Meehan, a campaign spokesman, noted that a different person, J. C. Carreon, had signed the "sick call sheet" summarizing treatment of the injury, and asked, "Who is this guy? How do we know that he was the doctor who treated him?"
The aides produced several veterans to attest to Mr. Kerry's bona fides.
"I think it's going to sicken and revulse the vast majority of the American people," Wade Sanders, who fought alongside Mr. Kerry, said in a hastily arranged news conference that followed one by Admiral Hoffman's group.
Mr. Sanders predicted that the veterans' criticism would "backfire on this president and this vice president," and, paraphrasing a challenge to Senator Joseph R. McCarthy, asked, "Is there no limit to the extreme that you will go in the destruction of someone who scares you?"
Mr. O'Neill, the group's founder, denied that the group was connected to the Bush campaign, saying he paid the $1,200 fee for use of a conference room for Tuesday's event himself. The group's publicist, Merrie Spaeth, worked in the Reagan White House and has given money to Mr. Bush's campaigns.

Just finished watching the rerun of this conference. I loved this:
"If a man like that can't handle that six-man boat, how can you expect him to be our commander in chief?" asked Mr. Gardner, one of about two dozen veterans who flew here to discredit Mr. Kerry, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.
Sad to say, it won't resonate with the BIG MEDIA, they have their clarion this week with the abuse story. If a tree falls in the forest and there is no one to hear, does it make a sound?
