Mansoor Ijaz will be testifying before the 9-11 Commission on May 7th. The Commission is keeping his testimony "Private". We need to have this testimony made "Public", so the American people can hear the truth.
I urge all "Freepers" to send an e mail to the 9-11 Commission, telling them to make the testimony PUBLIC!!
The e mail address is : info@9-11commission.gov

After the P and VP gave their testimony media interest in the 9-11 commission is dropping off the table.

I suggest writing to C-Span as well. They have more leverage.

From Fox News info page.
Mansoor Ijaz is a FOX News Channel foreign affairs and terrorism analyst. He joined FOX in December 2001 and contributes to FNCs prime time and weekend news analysis programs on matters related to terrorism, foreign policy and national security.
Ijaz is founder and chairman of The Crescent Partnerships, a series of New York-based private equity partnerships focused exclusively on the development of national security technologies. The firms partners include retired Air Force Lt. Gen. James Abrahamson, former director of President Reagans Strategic Defense Initiative and Turkeys Global Group. Former CIA Director James Woolsey serves as vice chairman of Crescents Board of Governors.
As a private American citizen, Ijaz negotiated Sudans counterterrorism offer to the Clinton administration in April 1997 and proposed the framework for a cease-fire of hostilities in Kashmir between Indian security forces and Muslim separatists in August 2000.
Ijaz is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and has been featured twice in BARRONs Currency Roundtable discussions. He has contributed to the editorial pages of the Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, Newsweek and International Herald Tribune on matters related to nuclear proliferation, terrorism, politics and the Islamic world.
Ijaz received his Bachelors degree magna cum laude in Physics from the University of Virginia and received his Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Didn't you hear his arrogance Tom Kean??
I thought he told us peasants to "butt out"?
Seriously, I doubt if the Commission is going to release his testimoney except in a well-laundered version in the final report.

I am hoping that Monsoor Ijaz will come on Fox news and tell us what he told them. Any one think that is probable?

Mansoor will be on Fox afterwards. You can count on it. It will not be good for Clinton, thats why it will be done in private. I thought they wanted it to be public? What is the commission hiding?
To: GeorgeW23225
The commission has Condileeza Rice testify in public, but not Mr. Ijaz? Why, that almost makes the preceedings sound political in nature...

Right On Kenth, let's hear what he has to say... Mr. Ijaz would be happy to let the American people hear his testimony, and he'd do it under oath, unlike the Toon and Al Bore

I agree!! Mansoor will probably leave the commission and go directly to the Fox studio in Washington and spill the beans.
He's got guts, and he tells the truth. If the commission was REALLY interested in getting the truth to the American people, they would make his testimony PUBLIC!!

Oh, of course. Any valuable information is to be kept private.
The ass covering continues. Meanwhile, grandstanding for the television cameras is a priority.

Tom Kean received a rather scathing letter from Tom DeLay. Anyone with half a brain would know that such a letter had approval from the top (President). When you get a letter like that .. you take notice. The letter was here on FR.
It won't matter what the panel does with Monsoor's testimony; I have every confidence that Monsoor's book will expose everything he said (as long as it isn't classified).

My wife and I will both be sending in our requests for his tetimony being public for all Americans to hear.
To: GeorgeW23225
E-mail sent:
Sirs:
Why is the testimony of Mansour Ijaz to be private? I fail to see why the testimony of a private citizen should be considered so secret. Your commission is committing a blunder with this approach, but it goes along with all the other conduct of the commission:
- public appearances by commissioners as well as pieces appearing on op ed pages of the large papers
- having Ms Gorelick on the commission rather than testifying to it
- Commissioners Kerrey and Hamilton leaving the session with the President and Vice President
And other examples I could list but I don't have time.
Your commission has degenerated into farce due to the partisan politics being played. Your final report won't even be useful as bathroom tissue!
Good day!

Trust with care. I fear he's a plant (like David Brock).

Wonder if Ijaz is bound to secrecy. If there is anything to stop him from emerging from this testimony before the commission and discussing the details.

Ijaz has commendable academic credentials but is not always astute when it comes to politics.
What he has said on TV may not be what he is going to say under oath.
