[history]
Steve Doocy was in Washington during the White House Correspondents Dinner. He also toured many of the Washington monuments with the rest of his family, and another visiting family.
He went to the after party at the Hay Adams hotel. His kids ran ahead of him, and got on the elevator. They went up ahead of him. But when Doocy went to push the elevator button it wouldn't work.
Kerry was at a wedding on the 10th floor, and had security shut the elevators off. As a result Doocy was separated from his kids for 20 mintues.

I could not find the rest of the article. Was it on this morning's Fox website? Could you provide a new link, maybe? Or tell me why I cannot find it? Thanks. I love to read 'man of the people' Kerry stories.

Agreed, when I attended CPAC in January they closed several stories of the hotel and the elevators too boot.
My only question would be why the Secret Service allowed the kids to get on the elevator to begin with. I thought it SOP to have an agent at the entrances to elevators.
