"The Practice" Hit Piece on BUSH, and Mr. Bennet
Posted on 05/02/2004 7:57:08 PM PDT by Jmouse007
Tonight (May 02) on the ABC (naturally) program "The Practice" one of the lawyers debating in a judicial hearing stated President Bush "LIED ABOUT WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION" (that is a direct quote). He equated what the current president did with the previous president "Lying under oath". After that this "character"/lawyer accused Mr. Bennett of gross hypocrisy by writing "The Book of Virtues" and gambling.
Needless to say, I am disgusted with ABC, "The Practice" and their ongoing effort to undermine the President and get him thrown out of office next election all in the name of "entertainment".

worse than that, they are unethical lawyers who don't know the rules of evidence... not even the judges.

Practice creator & producer David E. Kelley is notoriously liberal. It has shown in almost all of his television series' over the years.
Though Practice former lead Dylan McDermott casually tossed that line out there, I'm not surprised -- that was pure Kelley.
An eternal pox on his house.

How can you even watch that show? It is nearly always a comically low brow left wing morality play. Same as the West Wing- Which I saw for the first time several months ago because it is rerun on Bravo at all times of the day. There is not one Big Three Network show I watch at all.

Yeah, "NYPD Blue" did something similar recently.
Forget about 'em. "The Practice" is off the air after this year and nobody watches "NYPD Blue" anyway.

You are so right --- that show is the epitome of left wing propaganda....oh, they tried to cover it up by talking about Clinton's lying about sex in the White House....but their intent was crystal clear....I'm only sorry I didn't catch who their sponsors were so I could write them and let them know that many of us out here in Middle America do not share their left wing agenda.....David Kelly is a left wing hack in the mold of Michael Moore and Al Franken although his writing is more talent-filled.
And by the way - they could have mentioned that not finding the WMD doesn't mean they don't exist - and every government in the free world and every intelligence agency and the UN agreed that the WMD did in fact exist - but it suits their propaganda agenda to paint it as George Bush lying just so he could take America to war.....there is no hope for these left-wingers.....let's just pray they stay in the minority - because if the voters agree with them - this country may well be lost!!!!

All this shit will back fire in their face, Americans are NOT Spaniards...Though I am completely disgusting with Hollywood (Leftists, Socialists, Communists, sex addicted, drug addicted, divorce here, divorce there, drug rehab) stars and the depths to which they will crawl, like leaches that they are.

Isn't this the last season of that awful show?
I myself stopped watching that show after the episode that suggested the United States was torturing the Arab men that were detained for questioning following 9/11.
I can only hope that there was a similar response from others that refused to be spoonfed such BS.

Attention West Coast Freepers, someone please watch "The Practice" (keep a barf bag ready) keep tabs/list on their sponsors and post their names on this thread so that we can indeed voice our displeasure, thanks in advance.

Any questions about the political slant of "The Practice" should have been answered tonight. After Eugune gave a speech on the problems with acivist judges, he followed that up with (paraphrasing here) "but I'm a liberal activist jusge so it's ok".
With regards to Shatner, he was conservative on the show but rememeber he was a wack-job.
Anyway, the cowardly liberal David E. Kelley waited till the last few shows to bash Bush (put him in the same category as Michael Jackson and other criminals).
So in your own words Mr. Kelley, "You Suck!"

I wasn't watching it, my wife was. She a paralegal who works for a law firm in Boston and likes to watch it just to see how unlike reality it is. Anyway, I was reading FR while the show was on, we have an "open concept" home so I overheard the speil and turned in time to see this slug slur the president and Mr. Bennett. Curse ABC and those who seek to undermine our country and it's resolve.

Unfortunately, there is going to be a spin off with James Spader & I think, Rebecca DeMornay.

Bump to another Bostonian. Too bad about the Sox tonight. But I guess they were tired from winning so often recently and needed a break.

I really liked this program when it began - but there was a turning point for me a long time ago.
The program was about the top lawyer guy and some personal friends of his. They asked him to come for a visit. Come to find out, their daughter had given birth in her closet in her bedroom, and then the baby died.
Instead of encouraging the family to call authorities, he helped them hide the death of the baby, and he personally took the corpse of the baby to a seminary - for proper burial. He never even appeared interested in appealing to the parents to get their daughter some professional help; even if they were going to try to pretend the death of the baby was accidental. [which the show indicated it was not]
That stunned me! I sent them an email complaining about the program and how it encouraged people to lie, hide evidence, obstruct justice, etc. I have never watched the program since that program.

You are correct, there will be a spin off, James Spader the sleaziest of the sleazy lawyers is going to be the focus. We lie in an ungodly age when those who pervert justice are lifted up as examples to emulate.
William Shattner will also probably guest star as the right wingnut head of the firm.
