The media needs to call an "intervention" on itself. Gather them all together in one big confab and tell them:
1) Terrorist thugs know they have no hope of ever defeating the West TACTICALLY. They'll never enjoy a military victory.
2) Terrorist thugs plant to win STRATEGICALLY. They're counting on the media to focus like a laser beam on casualties and setbacks, undermining public resolve. And they count on the media to treat a roadside bomb the same as a tactical victory.
The media has played right into their hands. ANd they need to stop!

Is he really in Iraq? Holy cow, as if Paul Bremmer didn't have his hands full already!

Great news - bump!
To: Timeout
Maybe he knows where PFC Keith Maupin is being held.
Maybe the hostages are the reason we're tiptoeing around Fallujah! I hadn't thought of that.

Hey, at least they were happy to use the G and p-words :) God and prayer. Haven't heard those mentioned elsewhere this morning. And Mr. Hamill and his family are people of faith. Wouldn't have found that out on the other news nets.

Fox reports he has spoken to his wife.
Just wonder when he walked up to the troops and IDed himself.

Yes, you are right about that. I heard Julian talk about it after I posted it.
Julian is, I believe, a fairly religious guy. But he simply is unable to look at things from anything but a liberal POV.
But I will praise them for saying that Mr. Hammill relied on God and God didn't let him down.

Thanks for the ping!
I just turned on Fox News. No word on Thomas Hamill yet, so I guess I'll have to be patient for a bit. (I usually try to avoid Fox & Friends on the weekend because Julian Phillips drives me up the wall.)
I do hope Thomas Hamill gets a book deal! In fact, I know an excellent ghostwriter should he need one. ;)

Don't forget to include the Italian hostages in your continuing prayers. And for the Italian Prime Minister. Berluconi has been a staunch ally and his opponents are beating him over the head with this.

You're right. They're not turning chicken and waving peace signs like the Spanish as they retreat.

Maybe we traded Hammill for Jackson.
I have a dream...
To: mewzilla
Kirin talks about the Halliburton people whose bodies have been found, and how the Hammill family must have wondered if his would be next.
And Julian says that sometimes God's ways are hard to understand, but we can rejoice that one was found.
Very nice, Julian.
To: Fawnn
Julian's a bit of a pill, isn't he?
I am SURE Mr. Hamill will get a book deal, and probably get the talk-shows and a made-for-TV movie!
I'm so happy for him and his family!
