We need every conservative to be on "active duty" and we need to be as well equipped as possible for the coming challenges. Indeed. It's only May and I'm exhausted with the unending challenges from the other side. I heard that Kerry, anticipating a repeat of the 2000 fiasco, has attorneys on board ready to challenge the outcome.

I attended a similar Leadership Institute event at Burbank California and it was really an excellent seminar. So if you are an area freeper - I recommend it highly!!!

I'd absolutely love to attend. However, later that afternoon in Florida my granddaughter Sarah participates in her first dance recital. I'm on the Space Coast then. See you later for sure.

This seminar, designed specifically for FReepers and FR Chapters, has been held twice, in Las Vegas (at the FRiva Conference) and in Los Angeles. Both events got rave reviews as it is an excellent seminar and a good primer on activism. It doesn't necessarily tell you how to conduct activism (FReepers wrote the book on that anyway) but trains you how to approach it...message, style, networking, working with the media, etc.
The Tri City Chapter is hosting this event and has priced it at break even. The one catch is they need 30 people to meet the minimums of the Leadership Institute. So, if you can make it, please do so. You not only will learn some good stuff, but will be supporting the TC Chapter and their continued efforts in conservative activism!
ATTENTION ALL CHAPTER LEADERS! The Free Republic Network will assist you in bringing this seminar to your area!

Most of you are familiar with PayPal, but for those who aren't: It's very simple.
You just click on the link above, in the post, or type in www.paypal.com in the address line of your browser. You use your own credit card and send the $70 to nancy2003@sluggy.net. You are completely protected--that is what PayPal is for, to protect the consumer. You don't ever pay for anything that you don't receive; in turn, the merchant doesn't have to send anything to anyone whose payment has not been secured. PayPal is an Internet clearinghouse of payments and goods.
When I receive an e-mail saying that $70 has been sent from your e-mail address, I will reply to your e-mail address and confirm that receipt.
If you have any questions, freepmail me, or e-mail me at nancy2003@sluggy.net.

Hmm, was just at a conference over the weekend with the founder of the Leadership Institute. Wish I'd known to ask him about this :-)
I'll try to get there... at least to drop in with a large bag of Krispy Kremes :-)

Someone has reported that she was not allowed to use her credit card on the PayPal link. Has anyone else had trouble? PayPal does apparently take precautions based on payment patterns, similar to what a credit-card company itself does.
It might be better at this point to send checks. Freepmail me for information on how to do this.
