Steyn is correct. The Palestinians have delayed and delayed in their negotiations for a state. So now Israel's Sharon has rightfully defined the parameters of their new Palestinian state for them. Kudos to George W. Bush for ignoring the Arabist U.S. state department and simply recognized reality in the Middle East for a change.

I have to agree with you. The US supports Israel right or wrong. We could be an effective mediator however our current position fits perfectly for Israel. Get the Arab world to hate us as much as they hate Israel, not to mention 3/4 of the rest of the world. I would not be surprised to see suicide bombers in this country before this election.

I think the Arabs say they want peace to people like you and the the rest of the world but their actions are completely the opposite. They lose the moral highground with the suicide bombings, had they stopped the violence a long time agao Israel would be shamed into a peace deal with them.
