In an effort to put in one place all the reasons why I/we think that Saddam Hussein worked actively with Osama Bin Laden, I am starting a thread which can be saved and added to over time.
We know Saddam worked with the PLO and other terrorists, he funded them. He at LEAST knew that 9/11 was coming.
less than two months before 9/11/01, the state-controlled Iraqi newspaper Al-Nasiriya carried a column headlined, American, an Obsession called Osama Bin Ladin. (July 21, 2001)
In the piece, Baath Party writer Naeem Abd Muhalhal predicted that bin Laden would attack the US with the seriousness of the Bedouin of the desert about the way he will try to bomb the Pentagon after he destroys the White House.
The same state-approved column also insisted that bin Laden will strike America on the arm that is already hurting, and that the US will curse the memory of Frank Sinatra every time he hears his songs an apparent reference to the Sinatra classic, New York, New York.

Precisely. The Coalition simply brought an end to a 12-year old war that should have been concluded in 1991.
This is all good information, and pretty convincing links. The question I have is this: Why are we forced to do the Administration's work for it? Why isn't the Bush Administration out their pounding away at the information that has come together on this thread? They know all of this stuff better than we do, and they have more information (classifed, as well as public) than we can possibly come up with, so why do they persist in taking a political pounding about the "lack of WMD" or the lack of evidence of a tie between UBL and Saddam?
That is the million dollar question.
I've written asking that same question of Senator Inhofe, the president and his administration, and all the Republican senators in the House and Senate Intelligence Committees.
I've never gotten an answer back from any of them. Is it a big huge secret for crying out loud?
It makes me think sometimes that President Bush either doesn't understand the importance of making this case or doesn't want to win, which I always suspected of his father.
I had my doubts about OKC too until I read the Third Terrorist (book just out).
It is a MUST read.
Freep me later and I'll respond tomorrow if you want details on that.
I have a theory...The Bildebergers, the Tri-Lateral Commission, and the Knights Templar have all deemed that W should not be re-elected.
Are you kidding?
Yes, I'm kidding. ;-)
Thanks goodness :-)

NewsMax reports on WSJ article last week regarding the Iraq/OBL connections. Post #33 is spot on why the administration has chosen not to capitalize on this matter, and to their detriment.
