In an effort to put in one place all the reasons why I/we think that Saddam Hussein worked actively with Osama Bin Laden, I am starting a thread which can be saved and added to over time.
We know Saddam worked with the PLO and other terrorists, he funded them. He at LEAST knew that 9/11 was coming.
less than two months before 9/11/01, the state-controlled Iraqi newspaper Al-Nasiriya carried a column headlined, American, an Obsession called Osama Bin Ladin. (July 21, 2001)
In the piece, Baath Party writer Naeem Abd Muhalhal predicted that bin Laden would attack the US with the seriousness of the Bedouin of the desert about the way he will try to bomb the Pentagon after he destroys the White House.
The same state-approved column also insisted that bin Laden will strike America on the arm that is already hurting, and that the US will curse the memory of Frank Sinatra every time he hears his songs an apparent reference to the Sinatra classic, New York, New York.

One of the original WTC terrorists was granted refuge in Iraq and we've since discovered Iraqi Intelligence papers there (following liberation) that confirm he was an operative that was granted sanctuary upon his return.

Sorry to be blunt, but anybody who really doesn't think Hussein had links to Bin Laden is a moron. Religion has nothing to do with it.
Moot point anyhow. Hussein never abided by the terms of the cease fire from the first Gulf War. Bang - he's gone.

I can't find it but there was an article in a British newspaper suggesting that Abu Nidal was involved in training Mohammed Atta in Baghdad prior to the 9/11 attacks. I have never seen this refuted here.

I am starting this thread to have one place for all the information.
Also, many people don't know or understand the connections (hard as that is to believe for me too)
And, we have some freepers (I use the term loosely) who jump on every thread and "hijack" it to convince the lurkers and uninformed that there is NO connection.
They are not Bush supporters and are working actively against him.

Thanks for taking the time to put this together. It is important and I wish the President would better tie bin Laden to Iraq and quiet the critics.

Thanks for the links, Peach. We have a local chat site and this site is starting to be overrun by teenagers who seem to think the war is all a scam(to much MTV). There are also a few older people on there who do their best to take pot shots at the President and administration over this war. I'll bookmark this and have some good info to feed them.
