My take on this...no matter HOW it turns out, and it looks like it's turnin' out mighty weird...

We Freepers are a GOOD LOT! We rose to the occasion by helping one of "ours" yesterday. This forum was FULL of prayer for Bogdan. I hope and I pray that we do NOT let this jade us....that we don't become hard and cold to the next prayer request that comes across.

The good thing is no one, I HOPE, sent money...although, not having an address how could you?

Please...we're "family" here. This isn't DU....let's still trust each other.

My take...some people need to step away from the computer and go outside and get some air. Maybe take a walk and dont get all worked up over some faceless internet board poster

Well, how can you not begin to doubt, especially when the poster is new?

I wish there were some way to run new posters through a filter of their profile, to determine, right away, if they've been banned previously.

All I know is, there's a bunch of DU'er's out there right now, along with a bunch of self-righteous know-it-all paleo-Freepers right here and now, having a real hearty laugh at our expense, over how good-hearted people can always get scammed over compassion.

I intend to take steps to insure it never happens again.

Would always advise anyone not to send money too unless they know the full details. There have been other threads on here from some Freepers concerning a death that the details don't add up. Still say a prayer but never would send any money.

Well put, I hope we don't get that jaded either. I was sobbing, actually sobbing for this poor man and his children! I will not ever refuse a prayer request however, and it is up to God to know what is real and what isn't when we are being snookered like this.
