Maybe you can call CGEB or SnowBunny and tell them how you got embarrassed on a forum because you were fooled.
No offense Sir, but I must comment.
I have no idea who CGEB is, but I have a sense about SnowBunny. SnowBunny may not be a perfect person, and for that matter, neither am I. From things that I have seen out here posted by FReepers over my time here, there are a number of FR members who are (in my opinion) unworthy to speak badly of her. Many do not consider what she accomplished.
I mean no personal disrespect, but there is always more to the story than what has been commonly believed. I personally resent your reference to her because it incorporates an insinuation that I am sure you are not informed enough about to make.

There were reasons not to believe the story. I certainly wouldn't suggest anyone normally be suspicious of those requesting prayer, however this one raised a few red flags:
- He posted in a panic, during "the emergency". The few times I've been concerned about my children's immediate physical condition, posting on FreeRepublic wasn't even on my list.
- The alleged child wasn't "their" first, yet his "wife" was hysterical and he was in a panic. 102F just isn't that high and I've seen very few parents panic about such a low fever except when it's their first child. Most parents know to give Tylenol/Motrin and monitor the temp to make sure it doesn't rise.
- A "private doctor" came for a house call; "he" arrived 4 minutes after the initial post.

Bingo! I do love to play on my computer, and I love the Internet and especially FR.com, but during times of such great personal distress, FReeping is not a priority. I did not say anything yesterday, but I did think it a bit, that it was curious.
