Dick Cheney is going to speak at FSU's graduation in Tallahassee, FL on May 1, tomorrow. My brother says there is a protest rally planned. I found the above on the internet. Any freepers planning on going?

Also heard that Laura Bush is going to be at a Miami-Dade gradution...

Is the FSU President going to have a hissy fit like the President of the last college Cheney spoke at?

don't think so, but some of the liberal students will. I think the FSU president (Thrasher?) is a former GOP speaker of the FL house.

University President Wetherell invited the Vice President to give the address. At least the students won't have to sit through a political harangue by Bill Cosby as I did when my daughter recieved her degree at the University of Cincinnati. It wasn't even humorous, but then, liberals have no sense of humor.

Report from my sister attending the FSU graduation was that it was a success. There were no incidents or protesting that they heard or saw. VP Cheney addressed the crowd and kept it light, non political and at times quite humorous. VP Cheney was given a standing ovation when he was introduced and after his address. Looks like FSU had it all under control.
