April 30, 2004 -- The Federal Election Commission yesterday said it will not give Rev. Al Sharpton any more matching funds for his campaign - and might try to recover the $100,000 he's already gotten. By a 6-0 vote, the agency decided not to send Sharpton's campaign an additional $79,000 that it had previously agreed to provide.

Could this be the begining of the end of "White folks are so dumb they'll let me get away with anything?" Stay tuned.

If you want that money back you'll just have to get in line.

The FEC is whistling in the wind if they think they are getting any of that money back - it's dust in the wind.

Al is broke and makes no secret of it. He lives high on the hog at the expense of others. For Rev. Al, this is just business as usual.

Get read for the politics of race. "...this a plot by the FEC to keep a black person from becoming president..." and so on.

Yeah, I'm sure he could be the nominee if he had only had that extra 79 thousand dollars (and maybe 79 thousand more delegates, but who's counting).

Yesterday Kerry announced that he'd asked Al to speak at the DNC..

Really?
It didn't sound like that ("he announced that he had asked") to me.

I quote:

On Rev. Al Sharpton as a Speaker at the DNC ...

Kerry: "I hope so. Sure ... That's my call ... If he wants to do it, he can do it ... Let me just say to you ... if he wants to do it, I'd like him to do it. I think he'd do a terrific job. I think he'll add something ... there's no plea necessary. It's my invitation."

Sounds like a spur-of-the-moment fumbling answer to an unexpected question.

I agree that Al will spin it wildly.
I agree that Kerry is stuck with him.
But I don't think it was planned.
I think he got flummoxed by an unexpected question, and doesn't have the cojones to say that we don't want blathering hatemongering race pimps at my party.

If the Reverend is a Christian, he is a very immature and false-doctrined one.

I am inspired my my pastor's humble lifestyle -- he drives this small ugly yellow car, and it gets him around just fine. Not saying Christians should be strive for poverty. But Christians should strive to live humbly, other-centric, content with less for themselves. That is Christ-like, not this self-centered extravagance evidenced in the Reverend Al's lifestyle.

Rev. Al reminds of the "Rainman".. except hes the Donkey Slapping'man.. Al believes if he slaps the donkey hard enough the donkey will become a completely traitorous bunch of weasles. When they already ARE... And when the "RAIN"(aka treasonous coup) finally falls he'll claim responsibily. What a guy big Al Sharpton.

Of course not. Do you suppose the Federal Election Commission are all white folks? I don't know for sure, but I doubt it.

There are only six members, you could check them out. By law it's three and three, Dems and Repubs.

Wow, what a great fundraising idea for FR. We nominate a candidate from the FR members to run for President. Figure out what it takes to get government funds - signitures, matching donations (we donate anyhow)?

I nominate Kattracks.
