The head of a national homosexual organization is vowing to politically "punish," "terrify" and "torture" activists who oppose his organization's agenda on "gay" rights – which he says would give him "endless satisfaction."

Matt Foreman, executive director of the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force in Washington, D.C., made the comments in yesterday's edition of Between the Lines, a Detroit area homosexual newsmagazine...

An excerpt from "Tammy Bruce: Respecting Marriage and Equal Rights:"

Gays ultimately need to stop looking to government for unconditional love and approval of who we are. Andrew Sullivan, a political commentator and writer many of you know and respect, wrote a piece for Time magazine where he actually equated governmental recognition of gay marriage as a necessary element to all gay people feeling accepted and wanted. He claimed that anything other than marriage will “build a wall between gay people and their own families.”

While his story was personal and moving, the argument was, frankly, nonsense, and representative of the general mentality among the gay elite. It also gives the government and other people’s opinions far too much power over the quality of our lives and effectively eliminates our own responsibility for our happiness.

Part of the fight for gay marriage is based in Sullivan’s lament—that it is only governmental recognition of who are that will make us whole. Let’s get real—the only thing that will make gay people whole is personal acceptance of ourselves by ourselves. Instead, we are still looking to Mommy or Daddy, now in the form of Society, to tell us we’re “okay” – to sanctify, if you will, our lives and relationships.

Society has been the benevolent parent for a very long time. And it has been amazing, and a testament to the American character, that despite being a people of faith who have legitimate concerns about the gay lifestyle, Americans have made this the best place on Earth for gays and lesbians, where we are free to live incomparably rich lives.

Now, when Americans have said through polls and voting, that they do not want to give up the meaning of marriage but support a comparable alternative, how do the gay elite respond? When you ask for one cultural thing to be left untouched, the Gay Elite become the Gay Gestapo.

It’s a very fast change from the polo shirt to the brown shirt these days.

In classic Thought Police fashion and like children throwing a tantrum, the name-calling flies—those who oppose gay marriage are “homophobes,” “haters” and, the label du jour, “bigots.” Once again, the Left, unable to answer critics with respect, resort to name-calling only to further the divide they need to validate their inevitable victimhood...

You might find this interesting;

Psychiatrist who helped declassify homosexuality as mental illness dies (March 9, 2003)

Dr John Fryer, the US psychiatrist credited with convincing his profession to stop classifying homosexuality as a mental illness, has died at the age of 65.

Fryer appeared at an American Psychiatric Association (APA) convention in 1972 in disguise under the name 'Dr H Anonymous', telling the group that he had suffered discrimination and had to remain anonymous because being gay would cost him his job.

The following year, the APA's board of trustees removed homosexuality from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

So see you ARE right, until 1973 being queer WAS a mental illness. And how fitting that a queer shrink - pushing his own agenda gets the 'rules' changed willy-nilly. No science, no nothing. Just, "I'm gay and 'suffered discrimination', so YOU as a group must change" the definition of what's a mental illness --- AND THEY DID!

So please, can anyone give some rational of why anyone should believe or trust any Psychiatrist or Psychologist? Since they make up the rules as they go along, it sure the H#LL isn't science. I offer ADD & ADHD as a prime examples of more 'junk science' - or 'junk medicine'.

Oops, gotta run, I'm late for an appointment with my gypsy fortune teller.
~~obvious sarcasm off~~

I suspect I am not longer welcome at the bar where my wife and I eat. I got into a conversation with a guy who turned out to be gay. I didn't find this out until I had stated my opinion of gay marriage ofcourse. Then I find out that the bar has many gay's in it, though it's "not a gaybar".

I do not care about gays, abortion or civil rights of illegals. I care about the future of America.

If America doesn't shove pooftery back into the closet, stop abortion, and stop illegal immigration, there will be no America in the future. The enemies aren't all foreign.

Many of us on this forum care for the future of this country also, our problem is if destructive policies regarding illegal immigration, uncontrollable fedgov spending, oppressive taxes, erosion of privacy, homosexuality, etc. that are slowly de-constructing America as we know it do not get solved and fast .... this country has no future.

Homosexual agenda can succeed by “jamming” and “confusing” adversaries, so as to block or counteract the “rewarding of prejudice” (page 153)

All opposing disagreements to homosexual behavior is rooted in “Homophobia, Homohatred, and Prejudice” (page 112)

It is acceptible to call people “Homophobic” or “Homohaters” if they do not agree 100% with homosexual views, opinions, or behavior. (page xxiii)

A media campaign should portray only the most favorable side of gays (page 170)

Homosexual activist Michelangelo Signorile, who writes periodically for The New York Times, summarizes the agenda in OUT magazine:
...to fight for same-sex marriage and its benefits and then, once granted, redefine the institution of marriage completely, to demand the right to marry not as a way of adhering to society's moral codes, but rather to debunk a myth and radically alter an archaic institution...The most subversive action lesbian and gay men can undertake--and one that would perhaps benefit all of society--is to transform the notion of family entirely."  "Its the final tool with which to dismantle all sodomy statues, get education about homosexuality and AIDS into the public schools and in short to usher in a sea change in how society views and treats us.

Showdog showed up not long ago, and virulently blasted anyone who is either religious or is opposed to the promotion of the "gay" agenda. He clothed himself in libertarian doublespeak, and presented himself as an existential elite. Kind of the cream of the crop of the nastiest. If I had run into him sooner, he wouldn't have laster the whole two weeks (or whatever it was) on FR.

When I read his objectionable posts last night, I went and checked his "in forum" and in his previous posts he outright admitted that he was on FR doing research for an article and planned on using people's comments here as quotes!!! Can you believe that? And even mentioned using their screen names. And called any opposition to the promotion of sodomy and "gay" marriage Talibanesque. He was truly a repellent specimen.

Stephen Whittle, co-president of Press for Change (United Kingdom), revealed that, in his recent, successful case to win the right for transsexuals to marry, he hid from the court that his household consists of multiple partners. ...He described his "family" as three men, one woman and some "long-term guests." Sarah underwent fertility treatment to become pregnant, and the household includes four children.
