Ya know, Dennis Prager came to speak here at UCSC recently, c/o some local Jewish groups. He is a genius. Anyhoo...he said that he believes 3 worldviews will face off:

1. Islam
2. European Secular Socialism
3. American Judeo-Christian Capitalism

The fate of the world lies on the outcome of this, and the only good outcome would be the victory of good ol' number 3.

I am however not as optimistic in the final outcome as the author is.

The majority of Americans and Europeans still to this day consider Islam to be merely a religion and have yet to come to the realization that it is in fact something much more sinister.

Islam is growing, but it would become a lesser option to many over other ideologies, if the woman of Islam spoke up and did something to challenge their men over lack of freedom and respect they receive, compared to woman in other societies.

The woman's revolution in the west, started long ago and has stabilized. Yet not for Islamic countries, where the woman's movement is a ticking time bomb. These woman have a key to the future, even though never discussed seriously by anybody since in most peoples minds the Islamic terrorist are unified and male.

Muslims as a whole are evil people. If they're not out committing terrorist acts, then they're applauding those that do!

I agree that she is telling the total truth with regards to Islam and the goals of the Islamists. But she began with an independent clause in her opening paragraph that was not elaborated upon in the article. I mean it begged for a follow-up.

She states, "The nation of Israel is a nearly sixty year old sore spot in the present-day Middle East, it costs American taxpayers a lot of money to support (billions per year), it's the focus of dispensational Christian theology, but ... Israel can take care of itself. Really. All the US has to do is say "sic 'em" and walk away."

True, but what does Israel have to do with her subject?

Anyway, she's spot on about the Muslim world.

Actually, I found this to be exceedingly confusing, with no straightforward thesis, because she vacilates on all the issues she raises.

While I don't disagree much with her assessment, I disagree with her conclusion that it is the most dangerous ideology. Communism (by all the various alternate names it is now called) is far more dangerous.

Actually, she's a little late. There have been many speaking the truth for some time, none more eloquently than Oriana Fallaci:

"Europe becomes more and more a province of Islam, a colony of Islam. And Italy is an outpost of that province, a stronghold of that colony," the book says. "In each of our cities lies a second city: a Muslim city, a city run by the Quran. A stage in the Islamic expansionism."

If this book is anything like The Rage and The Pride it is a must read. I cannot say enough good about this courageous woman.

She is one of my real life heroes.
