I think we need to Kerrey and Hamilton a taste of FREEPER activism!

Something like this:

Dear Senator Kerrey and Hamilton:

I think it shows total disrespect for the Office of the President to request his presence in front of the commission and then walk out on him and the vice-president.

What it seems like is that the commission was set up with a politcal agenda to discredit the current administration and when you found out that the Presidents testimony was not going to serve your political ends, you walked out!

Political manevoures like this is why the Republicans control the House, the Senate and the White House, in addition to most of the State Governorships!

Sincerely

A Disappointed American Who Votes!

I expected more out of Hamilton. But to me the real issue is that neither man thought September 11 and over 3,000 dead Americans warranted them breaking a lunch date.

Michelle Malkin was right. Commissioner Buffoon (Kerrey) should resign. I guess the Comedy Channel is more important than meeting with the President about the 9-11 attacks.

Their shame is our gain. Extreme rudeness often translates to votes.

First these people were whining that Bush & Cheney would only appear "for an hour". So they extended the time. Then they complained that Bush & Cheney were only going to appear "together". Then they complained that Bush & Cheney weren't going to appear on camera. When Condi was testifying, Kerry complained that he didn't know when he would have the chance to talk to someone so high up in the administration again.

I guess spending a few extra minutes with the President Of The United States can't be squeezed into Bob Kerrey's busy schedule unless he gets to showboat in front of the cameras.

What I want to know is- what were these vital appointments that had to be kept? "I don't care if you ARE meeting with the President and Vice President of the United States! Your cucumber facial is at 4:00 SHARP and you had better not be late!!!"

Shows just what kind of people they are. They cajoled every way possible to MAKE the President appear before the commission - then they walk out early to attend other meetings? As if their time is so very valuable and the other meetings could not be rearranged.

Looks like Bush just told them off in the meeting and they stalked out. WAY TO GO!!!!!

Why make a big deal out of no-class politicians trying to upstage a president. Their actions speak louder than anything we could say.

Now let me hear them say the President was not forthcoming, did not answer questions, etc., etc., - they have lost all right to comment since they did not even participate in the entire meeting. They have also forfeited any future meetings because I am sure the President will not have "time" since he surely has meetings scheduled with the Canadians and other senators.
