Somewhere in his undisclosed location, VP Dick Cheney quivers in mortal terror. His horrible secret has been laid bare. The mighty Frank "Rambo" Lautenberg has outed him to the world as Lead Chickenhawk.
The manly Lautenberg then thrust further with his rapier. He stated that Cheney "having the shriek of a hawk but the backbone of a chicken." Like the Mighty Achilles taunting the Timorous Hector before the walls of Troy, Lautenberg struts in his finery.
Lautenberg further asseted that chickenhawks "talk tough on national defense and military issues and cast aspersions on others." I sleep better at night with Frank Lautenberg watching my back. I want that man on the ramparts.
Lautenberg has once again made himself an ASSet to the American way of life. By revealing that that whaskely wabbit Dick Cheney was "AWOL on courage", he revealed to us all what a malpropism-spouting moron he truly is.
Bush-Cheney 2004 should send Frank Lautenberg a thank you letter. John F. Kerry could gain valuable political yardage on his military record. It could neutralize many of Bush's advantages on many issues. However, if a large enough number of Democrats are jerks about the issue, the entire military service issue could blow up in Kerry's face.
Lautenberg certainly landed firmly in the jerk encampment with his rhetorical contributions. We should encourage the Senator from Jersey. His nuetralizing one of the few positive aspects John Kerry has to offer.
Capitol Hill-AP -- He defines a "chickenhawk" as "having the shriek of a hawk but the backbone of a chicken."
And New Jersey Senator Frank Lautenberg says the "lead chickenhawk" is Vice President Dick Cheney, for his criticism of John Kerry.
Lautenberg said on the Senate floor today that chickenhawks "talk tough on national defense and military issues and cast aspersions on others." But when it was their turn to serve, Lautenberg said those people were "AWOL from courage."
Cheney received five student and marriage deferments during the Vietnam War.
Meantime, on the House floor, Washington state Congressman Jim McDermott characterized President Bush's service in the Air National Guard as "missing without action." Bush has been dogged by allegations he was allowed to miss months of his training.
Not to mention, his disengenous method of coming out of retirement back into Congresss!
