Looks like the dishonorable media has finally found an aspect of the engagement that they relish reporting.
BTW, let us not allow the Republic to forget that it is REALLY all about THIS:

If they are guilty then throw the book at them. Just make it fair, no Breaker Morants or anything.

The bottom line is:
Do you want the interrogators to do EVERYTHING to get info fast, which may safe the lives of dozens or hundreds of US servicement, or do you want to worry about the rights of the terrorists and the hell with our servicemen?
It's a sad commentary that our soldiers are being prosecuted.
Do you remember just recently an officer, a colonel(?), whom they were going to courtmartial because he shot a gun NEAR the prisoner and scared him into confessing info which saved many servicemen?

My theory is that they were possessed by the former demons that occupied the place...this is really bad. The pics were awful...what a blemish this puts on the Army by a few whackos...what were they thinking for crying out loud?

These detainees, were they bomb makers or setting the IED's or building suicide vests?
Every mention of the prisoners want us to believe they were simple jaywalkers and not killers. Of course their status doesn't excuse the abusers...but I don't see the detainees talking just because they like us.

They reported that wires were attached to genitals......I can see the headlines tomorrow...."KERRY WAS RIGHT". The press is going to have a field day with this one.

With what they are going through its understandable. But our folks MUST maintain their professionalism and the vast majority do even under extreme pressure.

Nip this stuff in the bud NOW. And publicize the prosecutions within the Army and to the Iraqi people.
Letting behavior like this slide led to the My Lai Massacre in Vietnam. Good for the Army for pursuing this, I just hope that this time they don't have any phony sentences that later get reduced to nothing.
Sounds like a good idea to have plenty of pictures and video of every interrogation, plus rapid promotion for whistle blowers.

Hmmm...
Gotta admit, if the charges are true then these guys deserve to have the book thrown at 'em.
However, I also gotta admit 60 Minutes sure is helpin' the enemy by puttin' this on the air.

Folks, what the soldiers did was wrong.
I can't believe I am reading comments going after CBS for reporting a valid story here. Would you prefer it be covered up and ignored?
I saw part of the report and found it to be fair.

If these charges are true it's bad, but I'm inclined to give our soldiers the benefit of the doubt. I want to hear more of their side of the story. Even if they make full confessions to all of the charges, I think the Army should be lenient with them. 7 guys handling 900+ prisoners? And I'm sure those prisoners were very well behaved. And I'm sure they were all just shoplifters, not terrorists who had ambushed American soldiers, built and planted roadside bombs and otherwise bear responsibility for the 500+ Americans killed since the war "ended."
One other thing, this quote from Gen. Kimmit: "Our soldiers could be taken prisoner as well. And we expect our soldiers to be treated well by the adversary, by the enemy."
The way those de pantsed American soldiers with the bullet holes in the center of their foreheads on al jazeera on March 23, 2003 were treated?

An article stating that "humiliating" muslim warriors was the most effective and efficient way to win this war. (It recently discussed here on FR... anyone recall the title?)

Now that I've seen the pictures, theses perps should be severely hammered. Not only is it simply wrong, it also endangers their fellow soldier's lives and our mission in Iraq. Jail them.
