Great Job...I have close friends in Italy and they are constantly writing for my opinions and thoughts. Doing your homework gave you total believability. In my experience, "W's" death penalty was their biggest problem until I explained it "in person" right before the 2000 election to an Italian friend visiting me. RESULT: She went back to Naples with a Bush/Cheney sticker on her luggage! You see, I have a very personal story to tell of the murder of my own mother in her bed where the result was to barter with the guy to tell on his friends for only 10 years in jail...probably saved lots of lives but he's out now and should have received the "death penalty." My Italian friend gets it now after asking one question..."What would you have happen to a person coming into your mother's bedroom and killing her in her bed?" Duuuuh. Guess I got off the track here but want to express my personal thanks for your good work.

Great work! This is an example how speaking clearly and logically drives home the Republican point. You can also listen to Reagan's speeches. They're very well done in the same vein.

Thanks...this was particularly interesting to me.
I worked in Italy for 15 months and every non-Italian there was a staunch Democrat or anti-Bush. We argued Kyoto Treaty, Jeffords, Clinton scandal, Bush, etc.
My officemates were from South African, Ireland, and America. It was the American who sent me a link to a French Web site that said Amerians lied about a plane hitting the Pentagon. I couldn't believe how stupid he was to agree with the Web site. Unbelievable. Of course he was raised in a commune in the Northwest, mom was a hippee, he was a vegetarian at age 6, and might have been bi-sexual.
The link showed no airplane so obviously the Americans were lying about being attacked. Yes, that was what the Web site said. I just responded: It is a FRENCH Web site...therefore, not reliable as proof for your argument. That always sent him over the edge. LOL.
They would constantly send me e-mails of Bush as a monkey. I would constantly return e-mails of pro-Bush and anti-Gore/Clinton cartoons. Made life interesting, but at the end I always got the last word by saying: Bush is the President so you lose. Drove them crazy!
Naturally you were much more professional than I but I knew there were no "open minds" there.

I have heard Democrat quips on how we are back to Reganomics, a derogatory name for what Democrats saw as bad economics. Well, Alan Greenspan, put in his place in 1992 under the Clinton administration, has publicly upheld the Regan economic view. Great work on your speech, but please allow me to correct one issue. Alan Greenspan was originally appointed to Chairman of the Federal Reserve Board by none other than President Ronald Reagan, not Clinton. I always gave Clinton credit for reappointing him to the Fed, but please don't buy into the false impression from the media that Clinton is responsible for Greenspan getting into the Fed.
http://www.infoplease.com/finance/commentary/feature/feature_feds.html
From this article:
He has influenced the course of the economy since 1987, when he was first appointed Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System - or Chairman of the Fed, for short.
Note, Greenspan may have been originally appointed to the Fed in 1983 by Reagan and promoted to Chairman in 1987. This is how my memory serves me, but I'm too lazy (and at work) to look the full history up. What I do know is, Reagan got him into the Fed originally, not Carter, not Clinton.

"Are the Democrats planning to turn American national sovreignty over to UN?"
The rest of the speech is great but this line is my favorite.

You rock! When I was in Belgium two summers ago and it became obvious to my companions, people and neighbors I have known for over 30 years, that I was a conservative Republican and a Bush supporter, they were stunned silent and then attacked me. When I not only refused to back down but even more strongly backed up my beliefs, I think I really gave them food for thought. They stopped being so aggresive and angry and for the first time seemed really curious about why I felt that way.
What you did, and every American who proudly defends our President when attacked overseas, does more long lasting good than any news report or article.
Great work!!!!!!!!
