Chinese President Hu Jintao calls for upholding Marxism
Xinhua ^ | 2004-04-28

BEIJING, April 28 (Xinhuanet) -- Hu Jintao, state president and general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, has called for upholding the great banner of Marxist Theory, to agglomerate the whole Party and the whole people to strive for the lofty ideal and goal.

Hu made the call Wednesday, while meeting with the participants of a central working conference on the implementation of the project of studying and building Marxist Theory. Li Changchun, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, was present during the meeting.

Hu termed the conference a very important one, saying that it is of great significance for the promotion of studying and building Marxist Theory.

New changes have occurred in all fields in the world and China is also facing new tasks, situations and problems, according to Hu. The Central Authorities have decided to launch the project of studying and building Marxist Theory as the country is facing new tasks, situations and problems in reform and development, while the whole world has witnessed a series of new changes, contradictions and problems in all fields.

Hu spoke highly of ideological workers in China who have contributed to studying major theoretical and practical issues, with Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, and the important thought of "Three Represents" as the guidance.

He urged them to further emancipate their thinking, seek truth from facts, keep pace with the changes of the times, and make new, greater contributions to the development of Marxism in China and to building an overall well-off society and opening up a new situation for the socialist cause with China's own characteristics.

The conference was convened on April 27-28. Li Changchun addressed the conference and urged the participants to study Hu's important speech, saying that Hu's speech is of great importance for stepping up the study and building of Marxist Theory.

Greater efforts should be made in the translation and study of classic works of Marxism and publishing textbooks that could completely reflect the philosophy of Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and the important thought of the "Three Represents".

He can speak all he wants to the party members about marxism, but nobody from the masses are going to give him a licks worth of attention. They have all realized that capitalism is what makes the world go around.

But, in general, the protective system of our day is conservative, while the free trade system is destructive. It breaks up old nationalities and pushes the antagonism of the proletariat and the bourgeoisie to the extreme point. In a word, the free trade system hastens the social revolution. It is in this revolutionary sense alone, gentlemen, that I vote in favor of free trade.

"China is a Fascist country."

Not quite. That was Chiang Kai-shek.

"A Totalitarian Party that controls the politics with a strong Corporatist class for economic control, fed by US corporations and American consumers."

I'll agree with that one!

So how is today's China not Fascist. You agree with the defintion of a Fascist state but deny today's China is such?

Chiang Kai Shek and the Kuomintang were pikers compared to the Fascist People's Republic of China today.

What an enormously evil man. And none of our own leaders are willing to say this in public. What does it remind us of? Stalin? Hitler?

The good doctor has fallen for the mystique of the Middle Kingdom. Always trying to put a positive spin on the place of Evil.

One thing of major note, is that Lenin's NEP was done only a scant few months after the dust had settled from the Russian Civil War. Whereas, this NEP is done against the context of a Communist nation state, placed upon the foundation of a multi millennial kingdom, which has developed even beyond what the USSR had done 50 years after their founding. Sort of like, the USSR, minus the vodka inflated livers, after the successful implemetation of Perestroika [successful from the Communist perpective of course, horrible from our perspective....], with the world beating a path to its door. Retrospectively, I am trying to imagine what would have happened if we had undertaken something like Nixon's PRC "diplomacy" [really nothing more than appeasement and unilateral declaration of non aggression] toward Brezhnev, and launched ourselves into an orgy of trade and outsourcing with the USSR in, say, 1975 or so. Firstly, what would it have done for their economy and national comprehensive strength, and how quickly would our geopolitical stance toward them have been distorted and made flacid? The current case with the PRC is no different. We are the ones who have talked ourselves into believing the shiboleth that they have been made "capitalist" and that they no longer seek our demise. Yes boys, keep them fully loaded container ships flowing eastward across the North Pacific, the dollars and debt paper flowing into the arms of the enemy, and, the enemy's forces a' bulding. Just keep your heads in the sand, and practice your very best dumbfounded dips$#& facial expressions for the day when the world as we know it turns completely upside down, and the very existance of Western Civilization goes from the current slight challenge, to a full on, do or die, hail Mary pass.

"......an enormously evil man......"

Its amazing to me that 99.98% of the people DON'T KNOW that this little clown had the Pachen Llama put to death (ie. MURDERER) and is responsible for ordering the genocide (ie. ETHNIC CLEANSING) of Tibet and its religious leaders.

THIS is the smiling little bastard that we are sending our investment dollars to and buying products from at Walmart.

For I long time I have predicted that one day you are going to hear on the news that the Chinese Communist Party will drop the name "Communist" from their moniker, and that all references to Marx and Lenin and Mao will be done away with. Granted the same people will be in power, and China would still be a one-party state. I still think that will happen within the next 5 years or so. This move by Hu is just to placate the old farts on the Central Committee who haven't kicked the bucket yet.

Don't hold your breath. They have been busy creating a whole new generation of communist cadres, not capitalists. Almost all their science & technology students here in the states are in fact PLA agents. And then if they are old farts only being coddled along, someone hasn't got the memo: The old farts are proceeding to gradually strangle freedom in Hong Kong.

"China OKs Hong Kong Election Law Ruling [China further centralizes control] Philly Burbs ^ | April 6, 2004 | Associated Press

BEIJING - China on Tuesday approved a major ruling on how Hong Kong chooses its leaders, saying the territory must submit proposed political reforms to Beijing for approval, a leading lawmaker said.

Tsang Hin-chi, a Hong Kong delegate to the National People's Congress, said the ruling also left open the possibility of a direct election in 2007 and allowed the current system to stay unchanged. "If the system needs to be changed, it can be changed. But it can also stay the same," Tsang said in remarks carried widely on Hong Kong television and radio. He called the ruling "very mild, very clear." Tsang is a member of the NPC's decision-making standing committee, its top legislative panel."

I am interested too. Why is the PRC not fascist?

I'd also like you to explain why Chiang Kai-shek was a fascist.

I will get back to you soon Joe. In short, Chiang Kai-shek was a firm believer in dominant power of the state.

The reason that many of the Chinese ended up siding with the Communists was due to the brutal force used against them during his crackdowns. Not to mention that fact that he spent more time fighting fellow Chinese (communists) than the Japanese.

Ill expand later if you like.
