I will get back to you soon Joe. In short, Chiang Kai-shek was a firm believer in dominant power of the state.

The reason that many of the Chinese ended up siding with the Communists was due to the brutal force used against them during his crackdowns. Not to mention that fact that he spent more time fighting fellow Chinese (communists) than the Japanese.

By this definiton of fascism, is the PRC not fascist?

Chiang was our ally against the Japanese in World War 2.
