Just as I was drifting off, I felt something touch my face. It was not an insect! It felt like a mans mustache. Oh, was that you? I'm sorry. I thought you were the Fletcher sisters.

Fletcher sisters? Sorry, you lost me.
Yours is a great story, thanks.
I know a bank president from NJ. He & his family lived in an old haunted farmhouse in the country. Regularly members of his family, including himself, would pass the ghost as they walked down the hallway. He said it happened so often they didn't even talk about it very much.

Fletcher sisters? Sorry, you lost me. Old joke I stole from television. Case of mistaken identity.

No problem... These stories have always intrigued me. As I said before, I just wish there was more science behind some of these studies and less psychics. I would love to spend the night in a house that is reported to be haunted.... I've never had the opportunity. I'm very skeptical, but I do keep an open mind.

Jefferson is a fascinating little town. There are many very old buildings there....old hotels that are now B&B's. I'm not surprised to learn some may be haunted.
There's one in Salado where guests are always seeing a lady in old style dress. The next morning when they tell the proprietor he shows them a picture of the lady who once owned the place. They all recognize her as they lady they'd seen the night before.

If you knew it was your grandmother, why do you suppose you had such paralyzing fear? Just the overall creepiness of the situation, perhaps?

If you knew it was your grandmother, why do you suppose you had such paralyzing fear? I dont recall "knowing" that it was my Grandmother at the time. All I recall was that I had this paralyzing fear, and I had no idea why I was having it. I do now regret that it was a terrifying experience though.
Just the overall creepiness of the situation, perhaps?
I think so.

I do search and rescue training at an abandoned building on the grounds of a state hospital (mental institution). We quickly realized how spooky the building was. A 'ghost' website said that the basement tunnels are haunted with patients trying to escape. I have taken many pictures of the basement, and have only gotton a few questionable pictures. This room, however, always seems to come through. It's on the first floor, and I usually set up my camera on a tripod and take pictures at 1 minutes intervals. What I have circled is commonly called, "ectoplasm". We train there again tonight. :)

Thank you very much for the ping! Yep, I'm one of those always lookin for this kind of thing. Planning a bike ride to a couple of allegedly "haunted" sites in the next few weeks, among them Bobby Mackey's bar in Kentucky. Have read a few articles about Mackey's, which this story reminds me of.
At Mackey's, the center of activity is supposed to be the mens restrooms. I'll let ya know what I find on my trip there.

Interesting. If you have an interest in this kind of thing, I recommend a series of books called "Haunted Ohio"...I think there are now five of them.

It's rather amusing reading the websites that attempt to debunk these pictures as photographic effects, reflections, or dust on the lens, they don't even do a halfway plausable job in their efforts.
The explanation of that mist might not be "spirits," but I don't see a plausable optical effect.
You might double-check your photos for "orbs" - looking like pale circles on the picture.
One site I found had an interesting stereoscopic picture, showing the orb as a distinct element in the depth of the photo.
