Yes the CHP said they were prepared and had been advised in advance that this may happen. Also said they have emergency plans in place in case of a major emergency event in the city.

Yeah, by the time I got here 5 minutes ago KNX said they had removed 2 of 3 already and that the tow was there for the 3rd and that they were taking them off the freeway.
On to check the CHP site now and see what traffic looks like elsewhere up there!
