"I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat"
Two Chinese diplomats, away from their Los Angeles consulate improperly, recently sped their vehicle past a Los Alamos National Laboratory guard post near classified facilities in what U.S. officials think was an intelligence mission, The Washington Times has learned.

"I did not see any evidence of any type of construction work being done. The ramps were closed off with concrete barriers."
Concrete barriers?! For a septic system problem?! Sounds like some serious contamination in the facility to me.

Made me think of wonder bread. And then that bankrupt bakery Soros bought a few years back in Pittsburgh only to let it go under now...wonder whats baking there these days.

Thanks for going there and seeing what's going on. I wonder if they always put up concrete barriers to work on these rest stops? That it is so close to the airport is suspicious and keeping it closes it a VERY good idea.
Good work Selene!

Yesterday www.kitco.com experienced a problem with the Silver Quote feed and it was reporting it lower by about one dollar, I believe this could have affected the major sell off that was seen, however, it was reported as just a glitch. If I was a betting man I would guess the feed was hacked to show it lower by some group.
"This morning at approx 10:00 AM EST we experienced a technical problem causing an incorrect silver quote. The problem was corrected at 11:30AM.
Providing accurate information to our customers and web site visitors is one of our highest priorities. We are investigating the cause of the problem and will take what ever action is needed to ensure that it does not recur.
We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused."

Whew! What a news morning this has been.
The threats up in LA really have me worried. My soon to be daughter in law works in the area the officials are concerned about and also presents cases in the Federal Building there. My son is on the phone with her to try to convince her not to go in to the office today.
That being said, what a way to divert attention away from where a terror strike is really being planned! Pull resources to the West Valley and leave LAX and the rest of LA hanging.
As to what my son witnessed yesterday, there has been nothing at all reported in the news or in the newspaper. When he came home yesterday he was quite surprised that nothing had been said about it. He was sure that it would be on the news due to the actions of the person who CHP had surrounded. I'll keep trying to find out more though.
I am praying that this LA threat is nothing more than a hoax. If not, I pray that the Lord will guide our law enforcement and be able to stop whatever is planned before it happens. Our God is an awesome God!!

Ahh, thanks. I had forgot that little clue. I'll have to go back to Jill's site and read again.

877 A-THREAT OR ***911*** If anyone in LA see's anything suspicious. My thoughts from last night are that this is an unusual threat since they usually don't advertise in advance what they plan to do with such detail. As we all know they usually speak in puzzles or jibberish.
The police say they are aggresively pursuing this threat and have added more officers to that area.....they may even be on a limited tactical alert.
Now, why such a detailed threat? If this is terror related it's quite possible they are trying to get everyone to focus on Westwood and then hit something else. So, EVERYONE should be aware of their surroundings today. A good list which I found last night on NBC website has the following suggestions"
Multiple sightings of the same suspicious person, vehicle or activity at the same location;
Individuals or activities that don't "fit" into the surrounding environment;
Individuals sitting in a parked vehicle for an extended period of time;
Individuals or several people sketching or taking notes, photographing or videotaping areas or buildings not normally associated with tourist activity;
Clothing out of place for the weather, such as someone wearing a heavy coat in hot weather;
Individuals or people carrying unusually heavy bags or backpacks;
Vehicles -- especially vans, U-Hauls or delivery trucks -- improperly parked or parked in locations not normally associated with deliveries;
Follow your instinct. If something doesn't look right, it might not be.
And last but not least don't forget those 5 semi trucks coming down the I-5 which may have been last spotted near the Skirball exit of the 405 which is a hop skip and a jump from Westwood.

I don't know about the rest of ya'll in the area, but it sure has been ALL OVER the news...almost every few minutes on the radio even they've been talking about it...they've definitely gotten the attention of everyone around here... (although I've still yet to hear anything on the news about the 5 trucks or the incident Kyla mentioned...was looking for that since I'm in her area as well).
Stay safe everyone!
To: Selene
Excellent on-the-ground report!
I'm thinking those hand-held missiles, whatever they're called. Too close for comfort to airplanes.
To: KylaStarr
I am praying that this LA threat is nothing more than a hoax. I'm thinking not a hoax, but they're testing our reactions to the threat.
Just another check of our resources and how we respond to this.
To: texasbluebell
Anybody know if a mobile ground-to-air missile launcher (like would be mounted on the back of a truck - not a shoulder fired type) normally has a separate metal box associated with it (like the drivers of those semis were supposedly hand carrying wherever they went)? Awfully convenient if you just park your semi at a rest area under the flight path, pull the tarp off the trailer and use your metal box remote control unit to let the missiles fly.

Wow, yes, those concrete barriers at that rest stop would make even more sense with your scenario re: those trucks.
I don't know the answer to your question though about the metal boxes. Bet somebody around here does though.
To: DAVEY CROCKETT
That was extraordinary. Every American should learn these points. Outstanding!

Bob Brinker is this side of psychic when it comes to the markets. I would not take his warnings lightly about the "Madrid Model"...
