"I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat"

Two Chinese diplomats, away from their Los Angeles consulate improperly, recently sped their vehicle past a Los Alamos National Laboratory guard post near classified facilities in what U.S. officials think was an intelligence mission, The Washington Times has learned.

.. chuckling.. Santee drive-in is indeed less than 5 minutes from home : ) I went to a swap meet there last fall and must have gone during a riff-raff weekend as there just wasn't much to speak of. I'll definately make a point of going for the ham radio meets though. Reading the information that many of you have posted about ham radio's has created an interest for me. I want to learn more about the requirements etc. and that might be a good place to start off.

As far skinny dipping here... IF we don't get out of this godforsaken state soon and we end up getting a pool... I'll remember to not do that : ) Heck, here I thought with the hill behind us we'd be safe too! LOL!

They still have the State Militias in the United States, Davey, and right now, a lot of them can use all the help they can get.

They are called State Defense Forces, and they are authorized by Title 32USC109 of United States law. They support or take over the mission of the National Guard when they mobilize.

About 30 states (give or take a couple) have them. Members can enlist or be commissioned based on prior military experience, or other factors. The enlistment/commissioning papers are signed by the Governor, who formally appoints the member an officer in the state militia.

From the FReepers locations I have seen on this site, the following states have SDF's:

Virginia: Virginia Defense Force
California: California State Military Reserve
Ohio: Ohio Naval Militia, Ohio State Defense Force
New York: New York Guard
New Jersey: New Jersey Naval Militia
South Carolina: South Carolina State Guard
Georgia: Georgia State Defense Force
Oregon: Oregon SDF
Washington: Washington SDF
Alaska: Alaska SDF
Texas: Texas State Guard
Tennessee: Tennessee State Guard
Maryland: Maryland Defense Force
New Mexico: New Mexico SDF

There are others, but I dont remember them all. This website has additional information on them.

Well, my friend, that's another connection.

Going to town is also a three hour trip for me. 30 minutes to get there, two hours for shopping and errands, and 30 minutes back home.

You would think these dedicated FReepers would keep the world safe while we make our forays into town. Methinks they're slacking a bit today. LOL!

Any news on the BOLO in California? (The five mysterious trucks)

We have our own armory here, as well. And we're perfectly willing to "Shoot, Shovel, and Shut up!" I'm terrible afraid that the time may come when the only ones we can rely on will be ourselves.......and other FReepers, of course.

One possibility: The jihadis cruise along major highways, looking for a truck carrying hazardous materials. When they spot one, they cut it off.

Recall, the Ct. incident on 95- (the report was later sanitized.)

This morning I had a little chat with a grocery store worker (large chain store - NOT Walmart). She was quite aware of the terrorist threat and indicated if electricity goes out for an extended period, the stores will most likely CLOSE. For those who procrastinate with their planning for when "it" happens, this could be a wake-up call for preparation NOW.

Ditto. I'm not leaving my home! We're out in the country on a tiny farm. I put in a garden this year and have spent the past year stocking up on food and other supplies. We even have a notebook where we have printed off information from the internet that we may need and that may be unavilable if a major event happens, for example: emergency numbers, radio frequencies, first aid info, Chem-Bio-Nuc info, how to build a chicken coop, etc. We have an emergency supply of gasoline to go out of town to pick up our children/grandchildren. We know how to protect ourselves if need be. My family thinks that I'm a little nutty, but I think they are glad that we are prepared. I'm actually less stressed b/c I know we have done everything that we can do. (Rushmore, we went to S. Dakota last year b/c I had always wanted to see Mount Rushmore. What a glorious trip that was! You have a beautiful state. Next trip will be Niagara Falls. We want to see all of America!) Peace be with you all. TM Grasshoppers

I just listened to Hannity interview Ken Timmerman, author of the article from Insight. Quite interesting. Timmerman said he thinks this will all hit the fan before the election. I pray that it does.

I always enjoy your posts.

If you come to SoDak again, let me know. I'm a great tour guide. Did you by any chance go to Bear Country USA? We live right behind it. Get to watch the bears all day long.

Mt Rushmore is truly awesome and inspiring. I go there several times a year with all the family and friends that come to visit. I't only a seven mile trip for me.

I love hearing good things about my state. Our only drawback is Daschle. Hopefully, we can change that soon.

If times get tough, we could live forever on all the deer and wild turkeys that graze on our acreage. Or bear, for that matter, after all, they are just overgrown, furry hogs.

Welcome to "The Matrix". Enjoy your posts.

BTW, grasshoppers are my second favorite drink.

My family thinks I'm "a little nutty", too.

Comes with the territory.

This information comes from above top secret. It could tie together the missing tanker (NJ), missing nuclear fuel rods (Virginia) and the missing explosive chemicals (NJ)

Stolen Rheocrete. Missing Fuel Rods. Stolen Tanker Truck.

Local New York City news (NBC Channel 4) broke the news of the theft of a highly toxic chemical, rheocrete from a New Jersey facility on Monday.

Combining this with other recent regional developments of missing nuclear fuel rods from the Vermont Yankee Reactor in Montepelier, Vermont, and a missing tanker truck also from New Jersey, and we have the major ingredients for an effective "dirty bomb."

http://www.wnbc.com/news/3238886/detail.html

The chemical Rheocrete, a form of nitrate, is commonly used to prevent corrosion in steel. But officials said it could be used as a deadly chemical weapon. Police said they believe the theft of tanker truck in New Jersey earlier this month could be connected. A nationwide alert has been sent out.

During the evening news broadcast, a Fire Department Hazardous Materials expert said the chemical would be a very effective poison in water, or could be used to create a high explosive.

While originally thought not-as-dangerous as the news reported (given MSDS data), it turns out that this substance can indeed be used for a very effective explosive device.

http://www.inchem.org/documents/pims/chemical/pimg016.htm
Combine this with a missing tanker truck, and missing fuel rods (as reminded by an ATS member), and we have an alarming combination of events in the northeast U.S.

So far, very few news sources are reporting on this event. Stay with ATSNN/TerrorAnalysis for breaking developments.

We didn't have time to go to Bear Country. We stayed at Custer State Park a couple of nights. Went to the Bad Lands, up to Deadwood and then over to Wyoming to Devil's Tower and back south through Colorodo to Texas. I'd love to make a return trip one day. I'll give you a *ping* when we do. Grasshoppers are yummy (the drinks-not the bugs):)

Yes, enhanced is a very classy and adaptable word :) Today's news alone it could describe Kerry's haircut budget for this week ($1,000 a haircut).

Satellite Photo of North Korean Train Explosion Faked

Posted by: Banshee
On: Fri April, 23 2004 @ 15:55 GMT

In recent days, the world has been captivated by reports of a massive rail accident coming out of North Korea. Sources reported early that there were mass casualties in the thousands, but the North Korean government closed a veil of secrecy over the situation.

With international phone calls blocked and all but a few rescue workers barred from approaching the scene, a lone photo emerged reportedly taken via satellite of the area 18 hours after the explosion.

South Korea's Donga news site published the photo first, comparing it side-by-side with a satellite image taken a year earlier.

At first glance, the photos show incredible devastation and a massive plume of black smoke billowing to the sky. It seems certain that no one in the immediate vicinity could have survived the destruction. Major media such as the BBC, CNN, and many others broadcast the photo on television and websites to help illustrate the tragic event and shed some light on the scope of the devastation.

The only problem is that the supposed satellite photo was not taken 18 hours after the incident, nor was it even taken of North Korea.

Our first clue comes when one considers the appearance of the smoke plume and the 18-hour time frame. Examine a satellite image of the New York City area in the hours after the World Trade Center collapse:

NYC Satellite Image 9-11-01
Note how just hours afterwards, the smoke plume from the collapse and fires has drifted miles to the east as upper-level winds carry it aloft. In looking at the supposed North Korean satellite photo, no significant plume drift has occurred, as would be expected 18 hours after the fact.

Our second clue comes when you compare the two photos closely. While the smoke plume obscures much of the small photo, the area not obscured doesn't quite match the photo taken of the area in 2003. The streets are not quite the same layout and the architecture is noticeably different.

What, then, is the supposed satellite picture? Where did it come from?

The website GlobalSecurity.org provides the answer.
We discover first the the grainy black & white satellite image was not taken this week; rather, it was taken on April 9th, 2003.
Second, the photo is not of North Korea. It is a satellite image of Iraq.
GlobalSecurity Original Image

In a blatant example of journalistic disintegrity, the South Korean news site cropped GlobalSecurity.org's original satellite image down to the photo now being circulated around the world and passed it off as an authentic image of the North Korea disaster.

The Donga news site is still reporting the photo as an authentic satellite image as of midnight EST 4/24/04.

Tinfoil time- what really happened in North Korea? Why was the area placed on "alert" after the blast.

Could they have been transporting a weapon which exploded?
