"I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat"
Two Chinese diplomats, away from their Los Angeles consulate improperly, recently sped their vehicle past a Los Alamos National Laboratory guard post near classified facilities in what U.S. officials think was an intelligence mission, The Washington Times has learned.

I saw most of it and feel this was meant to be a shock piece with a lot of unanswered questions. But I am kinda fuzzy as to why our powergrid system would be somehow connected the internet to begin with. Can someone explain why this is the case. Don't they operate their own Intranet?

Have you heard anything further on the computer "glitch" that grounded all the planes in Texas? This is info I received from someone who works at another ATC center. It is definitely being carefully investigated. If they could cause this system problem at several centers at the same time there would be big problems.
"What I found out from the watch supervisor here was that there was some sort of system breakdown at Houston Center for a while causing their airspace to go into "ATC ZERO" mode. ATC ZERO is when they clear the airspace like they did during 9/11 only this was for just Houston Center's airspace. They did this in order to regroup. The supervisor here did not have the details as to what the computer problem was, but I believe it to be an internal problem isolated to that air traffic control center. Houston Center covers the southern half of Texas to the border of the Florida panhandle."

Yes, I think he could pay the reward in gold.
Even today there are miners who work on the weekends and get a little gold.
There are men who go to the mining areas and buy it directly off the miners.
I haven't been active in the mining world for 15 years, but see no reason to think that it has changed.
At the King Tut mining area, at Meadview and near Lake Mead, there are a lot of people who go and use dry washers to work the hillsides, some snowbirds come for the winter and they tell me that a buyer comes to the area and buys what they find.
I would think that there is as much gold floating around that is not going through the banks as there is that does.
Remember, the stroke of the pen and a President's signature could make it illegal to own gold.
It has been true before and will be again.
This is why so many people want to own "un-recorded" gold.

Live report from Fox for those of you without cable.......US troops in fierce street fighting today in Karbala, daytime fighting...usually fighting at night. Street to street, a lot of RPG fire from terrorists, some vehicles hit, NO US casualties!! Only way to get water to the soldiers is to have it thrown from a Bradley vehicle. RPG exploded very close to Fox cameraman who has a slight injury to his hand.
Daytime fighting shows aggressiveness of our forces. They could use bombs but are trying to be precise so as not to harm civilians.
Could you all send prayers for their safety and that somehow we can boost their morale from all the negative stuff going on in the media. Our troops are fighting for all of us and they are in a tough and dangerous place. As President Bush said they fight there so we don't have to fight in our streets.
Also Don Rumsfeld is going before the committee at 11:45 est. He could use a prayer as well, although he doesn't take much
cr@p from anyone!!

Cleric's threat to female troops
May 7 2004
Iraqi worshippers have been told that anyone who captures a female British soldier can keep her as a slave.
...also offered cash for anyone who captures or kills a member of the Governing Council, a widely unpopular interim administration appointed by the US led occupation 10 months ago.

WOW!! Way too close. I wonder how many more of these guys are out here that we don't know about.
Thanks a million for the ping and info Loyout. If it weren't for Free Republic and The TM, I'd never learn of these things.
From the second link...

Agree that ammo is important.
But gold is also, when a country falls, there will be new money issued.
The person with real gold always has "real value", for trading.
