Two Chinese diplomats, away from their Los Angeles consulate improperly, recently sped their vehicle past a Los Alamos National Laboratory guard post near classified facilities in what U.S. officials think was an intelligence mission, The Washington Times has learned.

Earlier I read that the 405 was closed right at that intersection. I think it's open now.


I just looked up the LA Traffic. There are all kinds of road closures around LAX -- this is as of right now.

I am "Slim challenged" went from a size 10 to a size...

First thing I do to new clothes is to cut out the size. Husband has me out hiking almost daily now - minimum 5-7 miles per day. I know it's good for me, but my knees are going to crash and burn if I have to walk up one more steep path......(sigh)! I came home to my FR refuge and found the topic "Whataburger..." GREAT - that'll be another 5-7 mile hike just for thinking about it!

Isn't there also a back way from Bakersfield area to Santa Maria, Lompoc area and the 101. The more I think about this the stranger it gets. Why were they so obviously speaking arabic and traveling in a large group of trucks like that? And, I might add acting very suspiciouly to boot.

Villagers say statue of Christ is bleeding

ANCHORAGE — A statue of a crucified Christ in the Yukon River village of Marshall is causing a stir after villagers claimed it started bleeding.

The statue began leaking from classic stigmata points Sunday or Monday and has continued to do so, according to witnesses at the Yupik village of 360 people.
