Like Congress and the rest of the American people, women have been focused on the Bush administration's war on terrorism. Meanwhile, another war is being fought below the radar: the president's war on women's rights.

THIS IS TOO FUNNY!!!! "The President's War on Women's Rights"? HAHA!!!
Oh no... I say, let's transport the Fallujah insurgents to these women's protest sites. Let both groups deal with each other as equals. No?

I had always imagined that "women's rights" were something like the "men's rights" in this country, and nowhere has there ever been found a right to abortion for men, in the Constitution, in case law, or even in foreign laws that are cited so quickly by the more liberal legal minds. I believe there is even a number of interpretations of the Constitution that hint at something called "equality", which should mean "at parity" or "on the same footing". In other words, no special laws written or enforced that treat one special category of humanity differently from another.
And yet, there is one category of human beings who are given no voice, and are never charged with any crime, who regularly suffer a death sentence, for the singular reason that they are not yet born, and someone else does not want them to be born.
It has been estimated that in the three decades since Roe V. Wade was decided, some 40 million US citizens were not born. Of that 40 million not born, perhaps some 15 million are not here to express their decision as to which political candidate or important legislative initiatives will be considered. Presumedly, the missing citizens would have had a political opinion strongly colored by the parents who did not raise them to adulthood. So certain of the political opinions that prevailed over the past thirty years have gradually lost their popular appeal, being no longer inoculated in the home, and a divergent set of opinions in the smaller remaining number of maturing children has come to the forefront.
Darwinism at work on the social level. That part of the population that has certain mindsets dies out.
Support of abortion is not a survival trait.

Unfortunately, that login doesn't seem to work at SJMN. It requires an e-mail address.

Guess these liberals think that the war on terrorism is not noteworthy or has anything to do with securing the rights of woman in the free world, perhaps they would like us to adopt the ideas of the Islamic hard-liners;
women are not allowed to own property or have inheritance
Woman's duty is to produce the maximum number of children
"Women have such honourable rights as obligations
but their men have a degree above them."
(The Cow: 225)
the Islamic law of concubinage to allow a man as many unmarried women in his harem as he can afford
if a man is in a mood to have sexual intercourse, the wife must come immediately even if she is baking bread at a communal oven.
(Tirmzi, Vol. 1, p 428)
The Prophet said, "A woman's evidence carries half the weight of that of a man .. it is owing to lack of wisdom on their part. However, they are also injurious to the dignity of faith and cannot be allowed to say prayer during the period of menstruation or observe tasting."
(Mishkat, Vol. 1, p 19)
" ..And call in to witness,
two witnesses, men; or if the two be
not men, then one man and two women,
such witnesses as you approve of .."
(The Cow: 280)
Thus, legally, one man is equal to two women!
There is no law against the concubine-rapists but there is swift retribution against an indecent woman, and her man can inflict this punishment on her without fear of legal retribution
If a man does not like his daughter-in- law, and tells his son to divorce her without giving a reason for it, he must do so.
(Tirmzi,Vol. 1 p 440)
a wife may not observe fasting without her husband's permission in case he wants to have sexual intercourse with her.
( Tirmzi, Vol . 1, p 300 )
A woman is not a believer if she undertakes a journey which may last three days or longer, unless she is accompanied by her husband, son, father or brother.
(Tirmzi, p 431)
The Prophet said: "When a woman dies, (only) if her husband was pleased with her, she goes to paradise."
(Mishkat, Vol. 2, p 102)
The Prophet said: "On the Day of Judgement, a husband shall not be questioned for beating his wife."
(Mishkat, Vol. 2, p 105)
"(woman) And stay in your houses .."
(The Confederates 33: 25)
Thus the Muslim woman was totally secluded from society and became a source of sexual enjoyment and political pawn for man.
This discussion reflects the true Islamic view of human rights in general, and the position of women, in particular.

From the editorial:
AMERICAN WOMEN ARE MARCHING IN WASHINGTON TO DAY, trying to drum up a little political activism among a group that as been all but invisible so far in the 2004 election campaign
I'd like to suggest a few chants the gals can use to promote group solidarity.
Two, four, six, eight
Kill your baby!
Hey hey! Hey ho!
Kill your baby!
What do you want
R: Dead babies!
When do you want them?
NOW!
To: Homer_J_Simpson

Their march today in Washington, D.C. seemed to be a big bust. They originally called for it to be a million woman march, then toned that down to 500,000 recently...but it seems that only 100,000 showed up today, and many of those were foreigners from 60 other nations.

Guess these liberals think that the war on terrorism is not noteworthy or has anything to do with securing the rights of woman in the free world, perhaps they would like us to adopt the ideas of the Islamic hard-liners; Apparently, a lot of people have been walking around with no idea what the middle east is like for women. I overheard a woman talking about what she had heard from a friend who has a female, military family member in Iraq.
This woman was SHOCKED at the treatment of women, surprised enough to be loudly talking about it to all the female college students near her. Those women were, in turn, expressing surprise or adding what awful things they had heard about women in the ME.
I'm familiar with these women and they seem overwhelmingly liberal. There is hope.

Women have been prevented from doing what in this country? Aborting their own offspring?? Puhleeeaze - if that's a violation of a woman's right to control her own body, I'd like to see what a real assault on women's rights are.
