Chalabi's comments last week about allowing low level Baath members seems to have had a repercussion to his detriment.

It might be a little payback for the false information he fed us prior to the war, too.

Mr. Chalabi said at the very beginning that he did not want to be in a top position in the government. He is however, knowedgeable and someone we could work with through this portion of the framing a government for the people of Iraq..
So, I wouldn't read too much into it........SPIN!!!!!

I'm not really informed about the IGC, but when I've seen interviews with Chalabi, something just doesn't sit right with me.
Can't put my finger on it though.
Wasn't there some talk that he and others were the ones that may have manipulated the intelligence community before the war about weapons site, etc.?

The Bush Administration rewards its enemies and punishes its friends. Good thinking!

What doesn't sit right is the poisoning of the well about him by the DoS and CIA. He has been our most valuable asset in Iraq. Not that you'd know it from thsoe snakes and their running dog press.
To: Arkinsaw
This frees him up to run for office. If he's part of the interim government he can not be out setting up a campaign. Let the Iraqi people decide if they want him or not.

Maybe the Iraqis will think twice about their insurgency if they think we might walk off and bring Saddam back!

Its good to know we and the UN are in agreement pro-American politicians in Iraq are a liability in the Middle East. The more things change the more things remain the same. No wonder we're bringing the Ba'athists back in. All it took was the slaughter of several hundred American soldiers to make us reverse course. Its proof terrorism can pay big dividends.

Chalabi's head is squarely on the chopping block. Good news for us; bad for the pseudo-con Neos.
Which, of course, brings it's own kind of perverse joy.

Is he gay, do ya think? "Not that there's anything wrong with that" (yeah, right). Cuz sometimes he looks like he's gay, the way he minces around.
