"
The one thing I will never forget is seeing the grunts, after they had been cleaned up a bit."
I was a grunt that went thru CRB on the way to R&R to Australia after 10 months in country. What impressed me was the place had wall urinals and commode's. You don't appreciate that unless you have been used to the Etool and Pi$$tube method. Kerry has an orchestrated service in VN.
At least half my company should have gotten Silver Stars based on Kerry's account in his action. He is too phoney in his presentation. As an Officer... I wouldn't follow him to the toilet.

I'm just wondering what kid over in the Mid-East right now, should he come back home and run for office 15 or 20 years hence, will have to suffer this kind of BS. There are plenty of reasons to be against Kerry, this ain't one of them.

You are right but you are also wrong. How's that for a "Kerry response"?
In and of itself John Kerry's efforts to encourage the doctors to place him on the injured roster are not the most important issue in this election. But as a reflection on his character and on the actual history of John Kerry's military service it is an interesting tidbit that provides insight.
The "Pompous One" always mentions that he served in the Vietnam war. His minions point out that he was decorated. Well let's put the spotlight of scrutiny on this ancient history, the apparently defining four/five months of Kerry's life if you go by his campaign propaganda. Discussion of this topic is therefore appropriate if only for the moment.
