A top Vatican cardinal said today that priests must deny communion to pro-abortion Catholic politicians, but would not comment on the pro-abortion stand of Catholic presidential candidate John Kerry.

Hmm, not that I don't approve of any slap down of Kerry and not that the Church hasn't always had a stance against abortion and politicians who run on their religion should abide by those rules, but the Vatican dictating to our government officials isn't going to sit well with the general public. If the Vatican wasn't interfering with our government, the decree would have been directed at all Catholics no matter their profession.

I don't care!

Kerry and Kennedy et al are a slap in the face to all devout Catholics.
