A PRAYER OF PROTECTION

The light of God surround you
The love of God enfold you
The power of God protect you
The presence of God watch over you
Wherever you are,God is,
And all is well.
Amen.

Bless This House

Bless this house O Lord we pray;
Make it safe by night and day;
Bless these walls so firm and stout,
Keeping want and trouble out:
Bless the roof and chimneys tall,
Let thy peace lie over all;
Bless this door, that it may prove
ever open to joy and love.

Bless these windows shining bright,
Letting in God's heav'nly light;
Bless the hearth a'blazing there,
with smoke ascending like a prayer;
Bless the folk who dwell within,
keep them pure and free from sin;
Bless us all that we may be
Fit O Lord to dwell with thee;
Bless us all that one day we
May dwell O Lord with thee.

Army Capt. Kurt Barclay, right, 38, of Ridgeway, Penn., and Sgt. 1st Class Bernard Grenier, 32, of Hermitage, Penn., help an Iraqi woman who requested medical aid to a waiting Humvee in Fallujah, Iraq, on Thursday. The woman asked for aid while waiting to be processed at a military checkpoint for permission to return to Fallujah.

These former Boy Scouts still seem to be there helping little er ah big old ladies crossing streets wherever they go.

Lance Cpl. Chris Duncan, 22, of Tupelo, Miss., with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, celebrates his 22nd birthday on Thursday by keeping his post in Fallujah, Iraq.

Later, another celebration was held where Cpl. Duncan was seen leading the Battalion in the daily P.T. session.

Lance Cpl. Jonathan Quintero, 19, of Tulare, Calif., a member of Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, keeps watch while on post in Fallujah, Iraq, on Thursday.

Despite the slowness of the contractor, once the new picture window was installed the Company members were all pleased at the improved lighting and the terrific view which was realized.

Marine Sgt. Nester Antoine, 26, of Houma, La., with the Marine Corps Logistics Base out of Albany, Ga., searches a vehicle at a checkpoint leading to Fallujah with his dog, Boda, on Thursday.

Living in a recreational motor vehicle is very popular among enthusiasts, but the difficulty with housebreaking pets in such an environment should not be underestimated.

Members of the Iraqi Civil Defense Corps (ICDC) attempt to distribute water to Fallujah residents waiting for entry back into the city on Thursday.

Even after a year, most Iraqis are still confused of the concept of "no deposit, no return."

Marine Cpl. Will McDermott, left, 20, of Phoenix, a member of Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, sleeps near a fighting hole in Fallujah, Iraq, on Thursday. At upper left, from left to right, are fellow company members Lance Cpl. Thomas Lohman, 20, of Scranton, Penn., and Lance Cpl. Steven Beasley, 21, of Herrin, Ill.

Many Volunteers are critical of the fact that the Military sleeping cots contracts are still awarded to the lowest bidders.

A U.S. soldier checks the IDs of Iraqis driving into the embattled Baghdad suburb of Abu Ghraib on Thursday.

I am going to tell you this only one more time, you have to take a "MILITARY LEFT" in order to get out of this compound.

U.S. Army medical personnel evacuate an Iraqi prisoner from Abu Ghraib prison as a crew member from the 45th Medical Company, 421st Evacuation Battalion, waits by a Black Hawk helicopter in Baghdad on Tuesday to evacuate to the nearest hospital. Insurgents fired 12 mortars on the Baghdad prison, killing 22 and injuring 92.

The newest Taco restaurant in Iraq does not exaggerate when they advertised that they were selling the world's largest taco, as it took 6 Troops to carry just this one order.

Army Pv
Army Pvt. Kimm Thiel wears rabbit ears as she checks her e-mail Tuesday morning while waiting for patients at the 31st Combat Support hospital emergency room inside the Green Zone in Baghdad. Both U.S. military and civilians are treated at the hospital.

Sceptics point out that the reception back up "rabbit ears" is simply not adequate for today's "state of the art" Comm. Centers.

First Lt. Robert Moore, bottom left, with Dutch Lt. Jeroen Mol, bottom right, an intelligence officer, surveys off-base terrain near Tallil Air Base, Iraq, while Dutch Sgt. According to the map the Headquarters was supposed to be within meters, but the camouflage was so excellent that it took the team a few minutes to actually find the entrance.

Members of the 4th Infantry Division and Task Force Ironhorse react after their arrival at Fort Hood, Texas, from Iraq on Wednesday. The approximately 275 soldiers are the last members of the division to return to Fort Hood.

Many have said that the security workers at Ft. Hood do not take their job seriously enough, but to this day not one terrorist has been known to have slipped through the process undetected.

Members of the 4th Infantry Division and Task Force Ironhorse raise their helmets as they celebrate their arrival at Fort Hood, Texas, on Wednesday. The soldiers had just returned from a deployment in Iraq.

The new  steam cleaners for Kevlar helmets was recently installed at Ft. Hood for  a trial basis and is expected to soon be universally available for the military.

Phelan returned home with more than 30 other soldiers from the New Castle-based 326th Quartermaster Detachment after spending 14 months in Balad, Iraq.

There have been zero complaints about the Army's new satellite Reception Station's greeter in New Castle.

Members of the North Carolina National Guard’s 161st Area Support Medical Battalion march down Main Street in Mars Hill, N.C., on Wednesday as part of a welcome-home celebration in honor of the unit’s return from Iraq.
