Oh, okay...CT's used to train right near Pensacola when I was in Aircrew school. We went from there to AW "A" school in Memphis. They moved our "A" school to P-Cola a few years ago.

I flat-out LOVED both cities. Memphis, ahhh, Memphis...the Friday nights on Beale Street were near all a man could ask for. Pensacola Beach was a joy, too, especially a little establishment called "The Dock". Best crawdaddys in Florida.

Valin, my brother.....those people work for US! We don't "ask" them for anything. We need to tell them, in no uncertain terms just what we expect of them. The minute we cede power to them, we're finished. Plain and simple. Call and/or write your elected reps and tell them that is what we want. If they don't produce, they can be replaced.

Pensacola NAS was a great base, wasn't it? I spent hours at the Naval Aviation Museum there on Saturdays. That is, after the hangovers faded...

Beale was the Sh**. The food was outstanding, great blues floated from every door...I used tol wander that way for hours upon hours on weekends. I simply could not get enough.

I'd commonly get back to base on Saturday mornings at about 1000, after getting breakfast at a great diner in Millington. I'd then sleep all day, only to do it again!
