It's pretty nit-picky but "Queen Mary II" would look so much classier.

FANTASTIC! Thanks for posting this- I am an old transatlantic liner buff. Not a good time for me to run up to NY, but I wish I could have just to watch her come in.

I heard it from my apartment this morning, but couldn't see it due to the fog.

A buddy of mine is headed to NYC to board for the outbound trip; he's pretty jazzed about it. I hope the security hassles aren't too onerous.

Eye of the beholder, I guess. That is one ugly boat. =)

I biked past the passenger terminal this AM as it was still tying up. HOLY SMOKES is this thing huge. The top of the hull is at the top of the terminals and the superstructure is completely above the terminals. It is really really huge. My folks were on the Maiden voyage from Southhampton to Ft. Lauderdale and they said the ship was fantastic.

Thanks for posting those pictures - truly amazing. One of my business partners went on the maiden voyage. Sadly, at the last minute his wife cancelled (for health reasons). Although, he was with a group of friends, they didn't get to enjoy this historic trip together.

A little correction: This is not QM2's maiden voyage!
She was here in Port Everglades less than two months ago after crossing the Atlantic Ocean. I have a photo of my Sister-In-Law and myself posing about 100 feet in front of the bow of QM2 after she was docking at Pt. Everglades, Florida!!

What a beautiful ship! Thanks for the photos. At 81,000 tons, its almost as big as a Nimitz class carrier (95,000) tons)!
