Part of our problem as Christians in the U.S. is that since 1830 a pessimistic apocalytpic paralysis - rapture fever if you will - has allowed for a retreat from cultural dominion.

I agree with you about the problems which began to manifest in the 1800's. So much of the heresy plaguing Christianity stems from this time period, as well as the seeds of Marxism, socialism and modern liberalism. In order for us to defeat Islam, and don't be fooled, this IS a war with Islam, it is necessary that we first look to ourselves and purify our Christianity, because our lukewarm, tainted lackadaisical brand of faith is at present no match for the "purist" form of islam we now face.

On the level of hatred towards those of another religion, definitely. On the level of violence used when acting on that hatred, no -- at least not yet. Many Christians here are already advocating violence over what comes out of some loudspeakers.

When I was in Spain there was a huge mosque in a beautiful tourist area,overlooking the Mediterranean.

The "call" started and it was very loud,and many of the Jewish folks in our group were horrified.

Our tour guide said that they play the calls on a CD,there is not a real person doing the call to prayer,just a recording with a very loud sound system.Can you imagine if something went wrong and the recording got stuck?

All Christians and Jews should just put their CD players in the window and let it rip 5 times a day!!!!!!!

I'm outraged! How dare they make such a motion to push a religion here when Christianity is hardly tolerated in the public square. Besides, our primary language is E-N-G-L-I-S-H.

This should be cause for concern. I sense that this religious moaning noise is pure "babble" and inappropriate to amplify into any neighborhood, especially among non-moslem Americans. If a neighbor was to complain I suppose the city council might say, move if you don't like it...which by most accounts would be insensative and intolerant to suggest.

Besides, to me the moaning sounded very disturbing...and even creepy. Like a man contemplating his future in hell...(72 virgins not included).

My understanding is that it is Albanian "refugees" from the "situation" in Kosovo, coming here and spreading the same filth they spread there. No wonder they're also known as "Elbow-nians". The opposition is Polish Catholics who have been there for (I think) 80-100 years. They do ring their bells, and they don't like this one bit. I expect violence.

If albanians really are the problem, then whatever the people of this town decide to do, they'd be well advised to do it sooner, rather than later.

This has the basic earmarks of the albunnies having decided to take over the town, and run all others out. Whatever housing values in this town are now, they'll be a tenth of that or less at the point at which panic sets in and EVERYBODY leaves.

The story above is typical of what is to come, until the day on which the practice of islam is banned in America and these ##ckers are sent back where they came from. The albanians have apparently targeted this one little town for takeover, and for the removal of the indigenous population.

If the process goes the way it did in Kosovo and other Balkan areas, the people of Hamtramck will be progressively intimidated and brutalized until they all panic and leave, selling their properties for ten cents on the dollar or less. They will be subjected to beatings and rapes, and whatever else it takes.

Typically one albanian will walk up and ask a homeowner if his property is for sale, and the homeowner will probably say no. When the guy has finally seen enough and had enough of broken windows, slashed tires etc. etc. and decides to sell, he will find that only the one albanian who had originally asked is allowed to make offers (the albanian "code"), and that nobody else is interested, at all.

Moreover, unless and until something happens, this little drama is, in all likelihood, coming to a neighborhood near you.

what can we do about it?

I don't know about michigan, but here in California we would already be circulating petitions in every neighborhood to recall all the councilpersons who voted for this outrage, and replace them with normal people who will rescind the decision ASAP.

In addition, in order to deal wth those brainless idiots who will say "I am too far away to be bothered by it", I would make high fidelity recordings of the damned noise, rent sound trucks and make sure that the call to damnation is repeated in every neighborhood in town at the same time and see how long it lasts!
