I heard on the Mike Gallagher show this morning that "Feed the Children" is now seeking donations for their care packages.

Normally the care package boxes would go to families of Troops, but since he's found a BIG need to things for the Troops, this fund raising campaign is for PACKAGES FOR SOLDIERS, that will contain many of the items you posted about.

A donation of $15.00 will buy 1 care package box.

Here's another organization I just found out about today:

Operation Uplink is a unique program that keeps military personnel and hospitalized veterans in touch with their families and loved ones by providing them with a free phone card. Using contributions from supporters like you, Operation Uplink purchases phone cards and distributes them to servicemen and women who are separated from those they care about.

The Ladies Auxiliary in my area (Maryland) are collecting for Operation Uplink. They just give you the envelope with addy so you can mail contributions. I gave immediately. But this is good to have to send more. Thanks.
