Joseph Farah thinks John F. Kerry is going to win. Sorry to rain on every one's parade but history looks like its going to repeat itself. If President Bush and his supporters discount the bounce out of a Democratic Convention, they're dreaming. Overconfidence is our biggest enemy. You say you don't want this prediction to become a reality? Then be prepared!

If President Bush and his supporters discount the bounce out of a Democratic Convention, they're dreaming. Overconfidence is our biggest enemy. Yes there will be a bounce out of the Democrat convention, but then we will have ours and we will get a bounce and then come the debates. No, I am not overconfident, but we will win this one.

He's just ginning up hits for his web site.
I'd equate him with the toe sucker, say anything for attention!

Farah is an idiot. President Bush is now leading 51.5% to 41.5% (in the most favorable poll for JFK) over Senator Kerry in those states that Gore lost in 2000.
NEWSFLASH: those are the only states that President Bush has to "carry" to win his re-election by 18 electoral votes.
So the *national* polls showing GWB with a mere 3 to 6% lead don't matter. Sure, California and New York will make the *popular* vote close, but that ain't how elections are decided here in the U.S.
Like I said, Farah is an idiot. I D I O T.
On the plus side, he's probably still got some cheap Y2K supplies for sale from back when he was predicting that "major disaster."

I don't think anyone is overconfident. We must not only win, but we must win by a big margin with enough senate seats to start nominating conservative judges.
We have to anticipate dirty tricks, an increasingly rabid press, and massive fraud at the polls.
Nevertheless we can and must win.

Farah fails to factor in Kerry's personality. Kerry is no Clinton. Kerry doesn't feel compelled to hide his elitism. He is arrogant, impatient, and volatile. The message is: Kerry thinks he deserves to be POTUS.
Second, Farah ignores the 9/11 factor. Kerry's promise to go to the UN to formally rejoin the community of nations is the first step in capitulation and appeasement in the War on Terrorism.
Bush will win in a landslide.

I don't recall Dole ever really being in a real lead over clinton. Clinton ran unopposed and walked to victory.

In looking back, two things changed history: the Swifties intervened and we took nothing for granted. That's why this didn't come to pass. I'm absolutely gratified at how it all turned out!

I thought President Bush won.
Perhaps we should call off the next election and let the all knowing and all wise media make the selections.

President Bush won this election decisively. There was no bounce out of the Democratic Convention. Still, there was no overconfidence on our side. This was a brilliant victory and nearly 60,000,000 got themselves to the polls for Bush.

We certainly do not want to be overconfident -- especially at this critical stage of the campaign. :-)
