Joseph Farah thinks John F. Kerry is going to win. Sorry to rain on every one's parade but history looks like its going to repeat itself. If President Bush and his supporters discount the bounce out of a Democratic Convention, they're dreaming. Overconfidence is our biggest enemy. You say you don't want this prediction to become a reality? Then be prepared!

Joe Farah is an idiot. The Brigadiers might have use for him, but I haven't considered him a serious Conservative scribe in quite a while.

Depressing to consider ... how can something sooo... obviously wrong happen again, when we are just starting to recover from the most corrupt and treasonous presidential terms in our history?

Damn ... just damn.

Farah also predicted Howard Dean could/would beat Bush and then Wesley Clark would beat Bush (maybe not in that order). Farah is kinda' a glass-half-empty guy, don't you think?

Truth tell, he looks forward to a Kerry presidency, because in his mind, it hastens a national Armageddon, which he relishes the thought of. There is a certain allure to gloom and doom and even the fulfillment of it to some people. Don't believe me; just look at some of Farah's past columns.

Of course, he could well be right. Shivers...

Just more Farah DOOM & GLOOM. Nothing unusual here.

One wins by being POSITIVE, by passing POSITIVE messages to others. Write him off!!!! I'll take President Bush's message as my motto.

When asked if he was worried about possibly losing, President Bush said "NO" for I'm going to WIN!!!!

That's what we need to hear.

GO BUSH GO!!!!!!! On to Victory.

Bill Clinton was in John Kerry's position. He was running considerably further behind George H.W. Bush in the polls.

Naturally, Farah neglects to mention is that the Democratic primary in 1992 was not decided until April -- unlike Kerry, who sewed up the nomination in early March.

Again in 1996, Clinton was running behind Bob Dole in the polls leading up to the Democratic convention.

A lie. Dole never led Clinton in 1996.

This is my prediction. Mark it down. Remember where you heard it. The day after the Democratic convention, Kerry will be a front-runner.

What a prediction. Dukakis led Bush Sr. by 17% after his convention in 1988.

Gallup Poll (4/16/04-/4/18/04)

George W. Bush

Approval: 52%
Disapproval: 45%
No Opinion: 3%

Gallup Poll (4/20/1992-4/22/1992)

George H.W. Bush

Approval: 42%
Disapproval: 48%
No Opinion: 10%

everyone bounces after their convention... even Al Gore did in 2000... we'll never know how things might have turned out had certain states not been called so early... or even had polling places in Missouri not stayed open later than was legal... or had that DUI or DWI not been brought out four days before the election... i'm sure Mr. Farah who is not a Bush supporter would be giddy if he were right about this... i don't believe for one second that he hates to rain on my parade...

Farah is his usual idiotic self. Even if you loath Clinton, you have to admit that he was a very slick, smooth, cunning, charismatic campaigner, SOMETHING LURCH IS NOT!

Because I don't have a dog in this hunt, I think I can see it a little more objectively, a little more clearly.

FWIW, as anyone paying attention might've guessed, I was ready earlier this year to jump ship myself given the slightest opportunity. John Kerry isn't it..

That's a big part of why I think Bush will win - Kerry's just too repellant. Had it been Gephardt or Edwards or Graham or Clark or Lieberman he would've probably lost.

Farah doesn't mention though where John Kerry's actually gonna get his big boost: It's gonna be from his VP pick and I think that'll catapult him to frontrunner for a while.

I think we'd do well to heed his warning. Clinton had 90% of the news and entertainment media rooting for him, and in my opinion that is what was mainly responsible for his weaseling into office the first time, and his ability to cling to it once in power.

While I don't see that sort of enthusiastic backing for Kerry in this cycle from the Jackal Pack media, it is somewhat compensated by their visceral hatred for Mr. Bush.

Forewarned is forearmed.

It's true that Kerry is a colorless, humorless, unlikable patrician.

Which is exactly why he won't win. Clinton was "Bubba". He was your drinking buddy. He might have been a lying scumbag, but he came across as somebody you could LIKE.

But Kerry? Cold dead fish have more personality.

We should remember that Joe Farah also predicted the end of the world a few years ago. I believe he wrote a column insisting that we were the "end times" as he put it. And that stuff about Bush not supporting the constitution is rubbish. Farah desparages a prez who is killing those who want to kill us. But even the best presidents make mistakes. Farah reveals more about himself in these ridiculous statements.

Of course Kerry could win. Nothing is beyond the realm of possibility. But then why is Kerry slipping in the polls with many things seeming to go bad for Bush? I think many Americans are looking at Kerry closely and not liking what they see. I'd bet on Bush.

Unlike 2000 and like 1992, the partisan media are solidly behind the RATs and against the Bush in the White House. Where they beat the crap out of Gore after the debates, they fell and continue to fall all over anything Clinton. (Or is that kneel in front of?) They're doing the same with Kerry.

There are two differences, one in our favor, one not.

In Our Favor
W does not have most of his father's RINO and arrogant advisors. Rich Bond and Mary Matalin are not working the campaign; Charlie Black, whose clueless arrogance stunk up many a media appearance against a Clintonista in 1992, is to some degree and that's worrisome. It's in our favor, but only to the extent that these folks and their ilk are kept far, far away.

Not In Our Favor
In 1992, the media should have been paid for the role they played in electing America's first black President. Yet, they were doing what they normally did with just a bit more gusto. Twelve years, 537 votes in Florida, the internet and Fox News later, they know they still retain immense power even if it's being eaten away, and are actively applying it against W. That's why you see Viacom's Simon and Shuster anti-W books being promoted as gospel on Viacom's 60 Minutes. The partisan media are not going to savage Kerry as they did Gore---unless Her Heinous needs it for her ascension. Either way, when CFR kicks in, they're going to be one continuous RAT advertisement.

Or perhaps someone will realize that he's an admitted war criminal and attended a vote to assassinate senators and he will be arrested and put away for his crimes.

Nobody likes Kerry. But outside of FR, I never hear much good being said of Bush anymore.

Hopefully, this is just a local phenomenom, but those who supported him in 2000 don't seem to care anymore.

Hmm, true, the media will turn Kerry's nomination into the Second Coming, but this am, the Secret Service says Boston police don't have enough resources to do the job protecting the RAT convention in July. It won't look good if MA has to deploy the national guard around the convention center, et. al. Maybe they'll draft cops from around the state to help out. I do think that terrorists are planning something nasty for us before Nov.. Hopefully, we'll catch them way before they carry out their plots.

Farah is all wet and so are you. We have reason to be overconfident, just look at the character of who we are backing compared to what is running against him, people are seeing right through this phony and I don't care how far they lift him up at the convention or how much the lefties connive to get him elected, our President will prevail and you can take that to the bank, I rest my case.

...This is my prediction. Mark it down. Remember where you heard it...

OK. This is my prediction. Political pundits and public opinion polls do not adequately account for the post-911 mood of voters. They missed the 2002 election and will likely miss again this year.

During a time of war America will not elect an appeaser. The election will again be close, but Kerry has painted himself into a corner with the extreme left and cannot afford to flip-flop on his anti-war rhetoric.

Bush wins.

As far as Clinton and Kerry being anything alike, that's laughable. Clinton didn't get the title of "slick" because he was dull, boring, and prone to gaffes.

On the other hand, to compare 1992 to 2004 is idiotic.

Has Farah ever heard the phrase "it's the economy stupid" or does he even remember a fellow named Ross Perot?
