This is my unauthorized translation of parts of this article - I changed the title of the thread to make it more intelligible to people who don't know the acronyms!

The rest of the article goes into greater detail about the ties between CNI agents and the Socialists. The CNI is the Spanish equivalent of the CIA. Many of its officers were appointed by the Socialist government of Felipe Gonzalez, which was extremely corrupt and was in power for 12 years. The entire department was reorganized because of scandals that had emerged involving some of Felipe's appointees. However, many of them remained in the new department, either because they had too much seniority to be dismissed for anything less than criminal charges or because the PP was too trusting. (Sound familiar?) They have now returned to power to wreak havoc.

If this is true, I am appalled by the level of treachery it reveals, and I hope our (US) government is aware of this. I knew the Socialists were bad, but the degree to which they are cooperating with the terrorists is truly mind boggling.
