I thought I saw a UFO once while standing in a teenage wasteland with Baba O'Reilly but alas, it was a weather ballon. We won't get foooled again.

Yep, any of those can see a UFO - I just wonder how air traffic controllers, pilots, cops, doctors engineers go about being trained to identify an EXTRATERRESTRIAL intelligently controlled object.I have no idea, as I wasn't referring to that.

I got a hat like that once in Tijuana! It was all blurry too til I sobered up! ;-)
Just so you know - I would be surprised if there wasn't other intelligent life in the universe but I just haven't seen any convincing evidence yet. Personally some UFO's landing in NYC could change the world for the better either by giving the world a common foe or a broader outlook on the universe. IMHO.

Just so you know - I would be surprised if there wasn't other intelligent life in the universeNo way, the earth is the center of the universe, and we are the infinite, supreme intelligence, and no other life exists. And we know this because we are so intelligent. Out of trillions of star systems why would anyone believe there is life outside of our planet?

"I have no idea, as I wasn't referring to that."
Please ping me when you decide to be a bit clearer about whatever point you were trying to make.
"Out of trillions of star systems why would anyone believe there is life outside of our planet?"
It's a large leap to go from there "must be" other life to that other life visiting here.

No need to worry. That was just Jim zotting that troll the other day.

"No doubt, more qualified than you have seen objects that have not or cannot be identified."
It's just a shame that many make the giant leap from an UNIDENTIFIED Flying Object to one that they IDENTIFY as an extraterrestrial intelligently controlled object.
It's not a shame, it's human nature.
However, I wasn't referring to those types. I was referring to trained, credible professionals such as air traffic controllers, pilots, cops, doctors engineers etc...
Please ping me when you decide to be a bit clearer about whatever point you were trying to make.
My pleasure RS. If you will bring you're attention to my first post above, you will note it says, "No doubt, more qualified than you have seen objects that have not or cannot be identified." I did *not* say or even imply that these credible individuals IDENTIFIED these objects as extraterrestrial intelligently controlled objects.
I only stated that these individuals are more qualified to distinguish an identifiable object and are more qualified than most to say that the object they observed was not identifiable. For example, I feel that a professional air traffic controller that watches aircraft for a living, is probably more qualified than most to say that what they saw flying was unidentifiable or not. I never suggested that they were more qualified to determine if these objects were extraterrestrial intelligently controlled objects.

Again, my statement above didn't say anything about visiting this planet.
To set you straight, and for the record, I do believe there is a good chance of life outside of earth, and yes, there is a chance that this planet could have been visited at some point in it's history, but due to the lack of hard evidence, I would say that it's very unlikely. But I will not say it has never happened, as I have no proof of that either.

I would surmise that most professional air traffic controllers watch radar screens these days - It's probably the ground controllers that are staring out the windows.
Interesting word "unidentifiable" .... Not only would they be saying that THEY cannot identify the object, but the properties of it that they CAN identify would somehow make it unidentifiable in total.
